What are you guys safety wiring on this monster. Do you have to do both oil drains and the two screws for the filter? Do you have to do the brake banjo bolts? Sliders?

Are there any special techniques to getting the wires tight and looking nice. Do you just drill straight through the heads.

Thanks for the help
Rick

Check the webpage for whatever racing authority you'll be racing under, they should have the how-to's and what's required listed under their rules section.

Typically yes, a hole is drilled through a fastener head and the safety wire run through it. The wire doesn't have to be snugged tight enough to keep the fastener from budging at all, just enough to keep it from loosening to the point it could fall out or leak. Run a loop of wire through, hook it to an adjacent fastener/anchor, and twist it like the top of a coathanger. It'll tighten as you twist...

Keep an even pull on the wire as you twist. There's a knack to it and pukka pliers make the job a lot easier. Also, make a jig for drilling your Hex heads, it'll save you a fortune in bust drill bits
