AFAIK the race ecm is a race-only part in the truest sense - you have to have a race license, be registered with Buell, and get it from Henry.

I can check with our race team about the Ohlins for you. I don't know if we have one yet, but I think we've got one ordered...

Something I've seen in watching dyno work on the 1125R - the race module that comes with the bike CAN compensate for most any intake/exhaust modifications you're likely to do. If you start doing cams, compression/pistons and the like, then you may need better control of the engine functions but from what I've seen, you'd probably be OK for just about any intake/exhaust mods you'd consider doing.

What do you mean be registered with Buell? And what/who is Henry? And what/which licenses work, would a CRA race license here in Minnesota work? Id think so yes seeing as how Buell supports them with the contigency. I dont really know a damn thing about getting these race parts so im trying to get whatever info I can.

I think if you go to buell.com, there's a spot you can register as a "sponsored team" with Buell contingency.

Who's Henry? Henry Duga, employee #1 for Buell Motor Company (the first guy Erik hired, and he's still here). Great guy, handles all the race stuff. He's "the guy" who's at the track with the big Buell Racing box van full of goodies. We like Henry : )

As for the factory ECM in the 1125r...it can compensate for a lot, but there are issues. We built a pipe for it here and ran it, and it went pretty lean in the midrange. WOT we picked up about 8hp with it, but it was totally flaaat in the midrange. Felt like ignition-miss flat it was that lean. Sounded badass, but it had a big flat spot in there.

We're working on it...

Arillius, where are you at in MN?
And what do you race in CRA? I'm thinking about getting into it in the next couple years. Did my first track day on the 1125 last monday at BIR.

unfortunately as of right now the steering dampners are a proto-type, we are still waiting for the ones we ordered for our bikes, but as of right now i have no ETA on the arrival, and there is modifications that need to be done to the front wiring harness.

Maybe I have my suspension not dialed in correctly, but I have experienced headshake during heavy acceleration over bumps and rises. Nothing that puckered me up too bad, as it is usually over before I can pucker. I can see a use for a damper from my experience. I am interested, but not sure at over $400. Maybe a non=Ohlins unit will surface sometime...

Fresno I adjusted my suspension for someone that weighs a little less than I do like one step down and my bike is ridding much better,

I think you just need to find what the right adjustments are,

I know there is a book on how to set up your suspension but have not bought it yet but I am going to so I can understand better what to look for when tuning the suspension.

Glendale - an RR damper doesn't work? Or is that what requires the wiring mod?

Fresno - I see it when I ride any Buell post-tuber. Usually its a sign of the front end coming up, but not all the way off the ground, hence the shake. Accelerate harder, it'll come all the way off the ground and stop shaking
