Does anyone know how to remove the clutch cover? Had a lowside at the track and need to replace it. Of course the part is on back order. Called the dealer to ask them zero help. They say they dont have the dam service manual so they have to call buell everytime they work on the bike. I asked could I call them and was told "no it is a dealer only thing". Great!! So I called Buell Customer service and they say have the info but cant tell me! As if it is a @@@@#$% nuclear secret or something! Really getting tired of this no service manuel and then having to pull teeth at the dealer to get simple torque numbers, now this BS. So I would really appreciate if someone could let me in on this secret. Otherwise I will have to tow the thing 70 miles to the dealer because I cant seem to find the info. Think at this point I will duck tape the dam thing back up and call it a day.

The do not have a service manual, but they do have a parts manual. My cover started leaking today, so I went by the dealer to get them to order the parts and they showed me an exploded diagram of all the parts and components of the transmission and showed me the two O-ring type seals that are probably leaking. It looks like the cover just sits on there with an o-ring type seal behind it. behind that there is a bolt of some sort and another O-ring type seal which actually is probably the one leaking. The point of me telling you this is that the dealer should have this exploded parts diagram which will give you an idea of how the cover is attached. Hope this helps somewhat.

Thanks mike, Tim emailed me the diagram your talking about. Still cant figure out how to take it off. I dont want to just start prying on it without knowing for sure.

Just ticks me off that the lady at BMC was looking at the answer but wouldnt tell me!!

This service manual fiasco is unbelievable. It better be good when it comes out...

Maybe all the 1125R owners could get one for free!

I got my cover no problem through my dealership plus the drum and orings and slider like four month ago, still have not put them on because I do not have a manual and it is working and not leaking so no big deal,

if you can not find the part number let me know and I will see if I can find it sunday, tomorrow going on a ride so will not be able to look for it to sunday.

I am not sure why you are having trouble getting one when I got it four month ago.

Mike

wish I could post tims pic but i am computer retarded and have had to many glasses of wine. Its a good one of him and his 1125r except his tape job on his front lights sucks!! He is still a bit faster then me but I am catching up. Not to mention when I lowsided he ran off the track to avoid running me over. One of the guys at the track said it best "Dam two Buells in the same crash! What the hell are the odds of that!" HAHAHA we are the only Buells there but we make or presense felt
