Does anyone know of a company that is making a steering damper for the 1125R?

Nope, but I haven't really heard of anyone needing one either. What's happening where you think a steering dampener would help?

I've been told there is a kit now available from Buell Racing through Henry Duga. I'm not sure where you find his number, but any of the dealers engaged in racing could probably help. I think you have to order through a dealer too, but they need to be ones who know about the race stuff, as these parts aren't in the regular parts book. Hal's, Rossmeyer's, Glendale, Latus, Bartels, Frederick (MD?) are all ones we read about here, and I'm sure there are more.

Would the XB12 kit from LSL work or has there been a change that wouldn't allow it to work??

I probably need to go through and set up my suspension for my weight. 150 lbs. I got alittle tank slap while drag racing a RC 51 yesterday. 4th gear WFO, the front wheel is barely on the ground.

Any dealer should be able to order the damper kit. It's a Ohlin's damper w/Buell supplied brackets about $420.00.

Most likely since you were dragging you had a death grip on the bars. Be sure you're hanging on with your legs and not to the handlebars. You should be putting as little force on the handlebars as you can possibly get away with. There there to control the bike, not keep you on it.

If you haven't already, definitely read Twist of the Wrist: II. If you have read it, I recommend re-reading it to remind yourself of all the good info. Sounds like you were suffering from the Survival Response of too much grip. I think that's #2 on his list after coming off the throttle. Loaned the book to a new rider so I can't look it up right now.

But, definitely need to make sure the suspension is setup correctly. If it's not all a dampener will do is mask a potentially dangerous instability until it because terminally severe. I've had the front wheel skipping the ground on many occasions and never had problems with the front end getting shakey.
