I think the aspect ratio on that photograph has been changed, along with the angle it looks different.

Not bad looking exhaust, need some dyno graphs though.

I personally would like to see the aftermarket, or anybody, come out with a flat, wide (3" high by 8" wide)turbo muffler that fits up tight under the engine for sound and performance with twin curved outlets and equal length two into one head pipes. Seems like a simple enough venture. Anybody listening? Bob

that is what i would like to see also Bob. all the short out one side down low reminds me of the japanese bikes jumping on the mass centralization bandwagon. dyno reports needed.

To the side again. Just like D&D. Hey, let's just ignore why it's under the bike and make all the after market ones like everyone else.

This might be the one depending on price. I wish they had view from behind, granted it looks like this one is tucked in better than the D&D.

It's just a low angle shot creating a different perspective. Lay on the ground and look at your bike and you'll see this prospective.

Will the placement of the exhaust affect the lean angle? Does The D&D?

I have a buddy with a new R6. It does not appear to get in the way at all. If you think about it With this design you could lower the engine that weighs far more than a pipe.

"If you think about it With this design you could lower the engine that weighs far more than a pipe."

And who exactly told you that lowering the center of gravity is always good?

Oh and the pipe looks like crap to me... Just my opinion of course : ).

I'm not a fan of the Saron either but it looks better than this.

I really think it'll be very difficult to make an exhust for the 25 the looks good...

Jardine is going to have to get over their rep for producing self-destructive pipes for the XB and Tubers.

Also, the problem with lowering the engine is GROUND CLEARANCE - you don't want to drag hard parts on the ground - that's never a good thing. That's always a compromise in a design. Sure you might get a slight advantage in turning-in and changing direction but you still HAVE to turn the bike. Crankcase width kind of determines just how low you can design the engine to sit in the chassis.

If you could narrow the engine, THEN you could lower it - otherwise there's no point since if you look at the bike from the rear, you can see that there's no more "room" with the bike leaned over and the rider's toes on the pavement (with rearsets). The bike WILL grind a tight fitting bellypan already.

Is it just me or do we have another exhaust blowing right on the rear rim and brake? The look is ok but I want something not causing so much cleaning and scrubbing.

I don't think any of the aftermarket suppliers have produced a muffler that fits the need. The chief attribute of carbon fiber besides light weight is the ability fabricate complex compound curves which would seem to be the exact item required. It would also need replaceable baffling so we could leave some of it out for off highway usage.

I'm still going to wait a while. The Jardine does look nice, although I would like a turn out on it so it won't blow on the brake. One of our other members should be posting his pics soon. His exhaust has not been mentioned on this site yet and I'm waiting to see how it looks.

What I'd like to see is a can, much like the OEM one, out of CF.
Lighter, with a little louder, deep tone exhaust note.
I'm not looking for a performance boost, plenty of that already.

I don't want to sound like a squid, but I would like to hear my exhaust over the valve-train.

Not interested in anything I've seen yet.

I wouldn't mind getting the Saron but I am a little sceptical on the numbers (power)... It also looks like a "cut and paste" metal work job... I am hopeful for the full Micron system, but I may never see it in this lifetime.

The Saron numbers are correct, and it has been developed as a specific fitment for the 1125, unlike the Jardine which once again looks like a 'generic' end can with a Buell fitting kit. The Saron is the shape it is for a very good reason, and that is to get the very best power figures possible.

There are two schools of exhaust design that you will see on the market these days. Those that have been manufactured for a look and extra noise, and those that have been developed purely and simply to improve power over the stock pipes, with looks as a secondary consideration. The Jardine comes into the former category and the Saron in the second. Sometimes the best design for power also looks the best, but not often.

We will have another new design available very soon that will blow you away with looks AND power ; )

I have spoken to Micron recently, and they have no plans to introduce a pipe for the 1125 at all in the near future I'm afraid. They don't see it as a priority, and given the slow sales of the model here in the UK they are not to keen on developing a pipe specifically for it unless it becomes more popular.

Remus had started development of an 1125R pipe, but last I heard they had shelved it for various reasons.

I hope that I didn't offend you Trojan... It just seems like a lot to spend for a slip-on (Saron). I am very anxious to get something, it's just separating hype from fact. If you have more technical info on the exhaust send it my way! Thanks!

I want that can. I hope its not insanely expensive. Anything more than 600 for a slip on pipe is unreasonable to me.

I like that the saron makes great power and looks pretty good, but 1200 bucks is just way too much for a slip on, no matter how you look at it. I wouldnt pay 400 for a rear tire, no matter how great it stuck.
