Nah, I'm more interested in riding than posing.

I'm giving all of you a chance to catch up.

My 1125r is going to end up spending 5 of 6 weekends in a row in the job for varoious little problems, and that keeps me off of it. (Booo Hooooo!)

I went and bought a 2nd sportbike (UJM) just so I'd have something to ride.

I do love the way the 1125r rides, but at 12k, I'm starting to have some gremlins. The very biggest of which is the lack of good technical information for my dealer so they can fix the bikes when something goes wrong!

Also, it seems that Harley dealers are just slammed in the summer making service hard to get.

I've been living in a bubble. I've been wondering what the high mileages were out there on the 1125R. I do about 1600 miles per month, but I'll be slowing down considerably bacause I'm a teacher and I don't work during the summer.

I'm at 8,743 miles (that's since Jan. 4th). I don't think I'll hit 10k till end of September. I'll be riding in AZ, and I'll be far from my dealer, so I'm hoping that nothing happens while riding in the heat. Haven't had any problems so far, but after reading all the posts about heat issues I'm concerned.

Don't worry Shane.
There's plenty of us that ride and enjoy and repeat without issues (7,800 miles on mine since Dec 19).

Thanks Asbjorn!

Have you replaced your rear tire yet? I'm getting mine done now. The threads were showing.

I replaced my stock tires with Metzler Z6 sport touring tires at 5,400 miles.
5,000 miles and a couple small burnouts later, there's still plenty of tread left on the Z6s. They perform really well in all weather.

I am on my third rear tire and getting ready to get the third tire for the front.

This might be the reason why:

This is the road, Jim. And it starts only 5 minutes from my house.
If you find yourself in LA I'm sure I can arrange for you to ride it.

My dad has a place in Ontario. I plan to visit him later this year. I'll be bringing my 1125R.
Hopefully I can meet up with some other sport-bike riders... My dad rides a cruiser.

Asbjorn:

There are some really nice curves in that road. Is it a pretty clean road? I was on a really narrow road once up in the Sierra Nevada mountains and it had dirt/sand on the corners. I was pretty cautious going into the corners, because I had just slid off the road earlier that day because of some gravel.

At what speed are you taking most of those turns?

The segment from Glendora up to the Y intersection with Glendora Ridge and Eastfork road is almost always clean (except just after winter rains). This segment is where the video is from. From the Y-intersection to Mt. Baldy can vary.
The segment down to 39 (Eastfork) is also clean.

I'm not sure what speeds I am at since I was at full concentration. The tightest corners are probably 35MPH corners.
