Not sure if this is new or not but here's the first one I've seen.

Click on the "Products" tab on the right and select Buell. It comes in a race or street version. Looks pretty nice.

Glendale got one of the first sets out of the molds.

Call them to see what they think. Don't know if they have tried mounting it or just are waiting until Mario decides whether to put it on his streetbike or put it on the racebike.

It replaces the plastic radiator intake shrouds and if you look at the pics, the lower is Dzus-fastened just beneath them.

Looks to be well thought-out.

If those radiator scoops replace the originals, I don't see the "splitter vane" that manages airflow entering the scoop. It is my understanding that these vanes play a critical role in flow thru the radiators.

Pretty slick otherwise.

it doesnt look to bad, but i dont like how it becomes part of the front fairing. now when you scrape up one scoop you buy a WHOLE new frontend

Says $226 for the lower. That's an awesome price.

Better looking than the first one I saw. Still, I prefer naked.

I'd also be concerned about how much testing has been done with the REQUIRED low pressure area behind the radiators. If you reduce that low pressure by streamlining and moving it aft, it could interfere with cooling... just a thought.

I like the look though, no arguing that.

I wish thats how the bike was released from the Buell, imagine the custom paint possibilities to go with that sexy engine.

Brad, you mean paint jobs on the sexy plastics. With that, no one will really see the sexy engine. Hence why it's naked.

Nice effort, but not creative. The engine/intake fairing should flow from the back of the windscreen (just before shocks). Making it aero dynamic in a way the directs air into the radiators. It should then fit snugly UNDER the fuell/frame.
-IMO.

Who told you there's a high pressure zone at "the back of the windscreen (just before shocks)"?

The aerodynamics seem to play a fairly important role in keeping the 1125R cool. It's that or use larger and/or more efficient radiators
