production date 4-29-2008. my bike did not have the character of the ecm issues. 600 mile service disaster today not happy, now have ecm issues, bike runs ruff at low rpms and less power at low rpms. i thought it was odd that tech was blocking my view with his tool box. overfilled oil and performed 3 hot checks rode cycle 5 miles each time while i waited 3 hours. he said he doesnot have a bike anymore and enjoys riding the customers bikes. NICE! rode 300 miles today to get low new power issues , intermitent spedo, and check engine light came on. i never had these issues during the first 600. is there a way to verify the ecm belongs to my bike , where is it and what do i do. are there any experienced 1125r shops in south florida, frustrated need help. original over fill was found at 200 miles, showed them how to check. notr sure ill be wearing my selling dealors t shirt.

It sounds like you're intimating the technician blocked your view with his tool box while he swapped out your good ECM, replacing it with a defective one. Is that correct, or did I read that into your statement?

I was not intimidating. I only tryed to correct them when he was adding oil to the bike on the side stand to over fill it. the writer said he would not tell the tech how to do it and let him over fill. i requested a complete drain and new filter and proper amount to be put in again but instead they did hot checks and waisted my valuble time I had to show them the updated oil read procedure. im not sure if the ecm has been changed and want to verify. i know the older bikes had issues. would like to know how to verify. thank you

There is a new downloadable program for your original ecm, but the ecm itself is not changed (unless it is shown to be defective, I suppose...)

back to the issue, where is the ecm?, is there a way to verify if it belongs with my bike via vin # sticker or pro date , or if it is hooked up to be read to tell version., also are these the symptom of a bad ecm, and does anyone know a good dealer to workon the bike near south florida. thanks

The ECM is located under the left POD. There's nothing you can look at to validate the ECM or version. Only the dealer can do this using the Digital Techniction II software.

It's highly unlikely the dealer changed your ECM. Take it to another dealer. Seminole Buell comes to mind.

The ECMs are on backorder, parts guy checked for me Friday.
He said there were MAYBE 2 or 3 floating around at dealerships around the country.

If they don't even know how to do the oil right, they probably flashed your ECM, even tho it didn't need it.
If so, any fuel/spark maps learned previously were wiped and will have to be re-learned.

went to new dealor in miami today to find out that speed sensor was bad and they had parts in stock, changed, checked program on ecm, ecm was not changed he reflashed and rode bike today for several miles, bike ran aussome and my friend has 1125 as well. his bike has the old program in it, he has issues of bad low rpm roughness and its nothing like i experienced much more extreme, he want to leave his alone due to it dynoed at 139 and he needs for track. my bike ran about 11 degrees more than his, does the bike usually run hotter with the reflash. it got to 210 today at times, very hot hear in south florida.

I am very sorry to hear of what you've experienced Buellfloridajim.

Yes, 200-210'F is considered "normal" as is with stop and go traffic/low speed riding.

I've been as high as 220'F in heavy traffic here in the Tampa Bay area.
