The temp outside was in the high 80's.
Went for a short ride and saw the engine temp was around 190 degrees. Bike was running sweet. Stopped for a short three
minute enjoy the view, started the bike and headed home. Engine temp still in the 180-190's range. Stopped at a friends for about twenty minutes came out the bike wouldn't start. Bumped the starter about three times, no throttle either, still wouldn't start. In the past twice the bike was hard to start but after three bumps on the starter it would start. The outside temp then was much cooler though. Waited about another twenty minutes , it started after the third start. Rode the bike home
about a mile away and shut it off. Waited
five minutes and tried starting it , no go.
Can anyone explain what might be happening here? Is it outside temp and heat causing the problem with fuel or ignition?

Happened to me once. Damn thing wouldn't start after 6-7 tries, then I sat on the thing. Once vertical, it fired right up. I dunno.
