Al,
I talked to someone on the phone yesterday about a pop riveter and such,.....can I just take off the front bumpers altogether? |

Hey Al I am going to order one in the beginning of may from you,
I want the carbon fiber look like the one on your bike,
it will be the first week in may that I order it so try to have one in stock for me if you can.
have you installed the shift light yet?
I like mine allot and is in a very good place,
if you look at my bike at baggermikes farkles you can see it,

Sorry I had just looked at the order not the final invoice. I was not bitching just making a comment about the price change especially since it brings it closer to the price of the Buell touring seat. |

I would still go through Al for a Corbin since he does check for quality and you are more likely going to get what you ordered versus Direct and the price is the same. |

I'm not sure if it was Al that I talked to at American Sportbike about my corbin seat, but whoever it was, the guy was a ton of help! I highly suggest using American Sportbike for whatever it is you need. |

That was me.
It was the FRONT bumpers that we were talking about?
DOH!!!! yank 'em, they aren't needed on the 1125R, there isn't a shock tower for them to rest on.
HOWEVER, the two right adjacent to the center tongue....THOSE are needed and are the ones that you shave until they just allow the seat to go all the way forward.
Shaving the bumpers for fit is not a bug, it is a feature. By trimming those just so, you can eliminate all slop from the seat. Tolerances being what they are, if you made a seat that ALWAYS fit, it would often be loose. Many stock seats suffer this fate, especially on Lightnings. If you shave it just so, and it isn't hard, the seat fits snugly and supports the load well.
