Added stainless tips to the stock 1125R
muffler. That thing weighed in at almost 25lbs off the bike, what a pig! The tips sure work great keeping all that funk off the wheel and brake caliper. Buell should check this out for next years model.

Wow, that really looks great. Makes it look, well, like an exhaust, and cool looking slightly mean looking one. Well done.

What kind of tubing did you use?

When you TIG welded the new tips on, the heat didn't flake the black finish on the muffler?

I would add the exhaust has discolored my rear wheel into a wierd golden brown around the hub that won't clean off... literally cooked the finish. And, my rotor has some of the same problems where the pads don't touch to scrub it off.

This is a solution all 1125r bikes need.

I like it, Steven.
I think it would look better tho if you cut off the straight tips and replaced them with the turn-outs.
Just my opinion.
I plan on modding my muffler too.
I want to replace the two tips with a larger single one, so I can hear a little more from the exhaust.
Hopefully I can get it to where it drowns out the valve-train noise.

I'll be playing with mine soon.
Hydrogen plasma welder is almost up...

Did you ever tell Baggermike where to get the SS tubing?
I like the quality of the els, tees and curves you used and would like to use those parts too.

TIA
Zack

Jdugger,
I used inch and a half stainless tubing already bent to a 90 degree bend and then slash cut it to my desired look. When you Tig weld the heat is very concentrated to a small area. It doesn't even come close to hurting the paint.

Zac4mac,
I can't tell you where I got the SS tubing
or I'd have to kill you....just kidding.
I have some in my possession, are you interested? Also Baggermike said you sent me a PM? I'm a Nubie so how do you access the PM? Can you help me on that?
