anyone know if either of these are in the works of being made by anyone? Any word on new exhausts besides the d&d? I really want to see what kind of numbers I can push out of the helicon but I want to keep it looking good too, thats why I really would like to know if a belly pan and license relocator are in the works.

Drummer will be coming out with an exhaust but might be some time he said he wanted to take his time to be the best out there and is who I am waiting for, on ebay I have seen some license plate relocators and I just bought the setup off the xbr license plate setup and is what I am looking for but seen another one on ebay for 14 dollars and he is always selling them so you just have to look and wait. Don't worry, it is all and more than you can imagine in r&d, pre-production now. Many folks behind the scenes have been working since initial test release and select insiders, years before that...it is called marketing. Patience...look how long we waited for this combo to begin with and let us go rice hunting come summer! New to you is just around the corner...save $'s now and don't complain about how much it cost then...when you see it available. : )

You can a Buell racing belly pan...thats what Higbee was running at the Daytona Pirelli tests a couple months ago. The only problem is that you have to figure out how to mount it.

i talked to henry duga about that and he said that belly pan was the only one they had built. says they are going to be working on making something to sell, but they have a problem getting things to fit between the rear wheel and the exhaust.

i know i looked at mine and could see why. although i dont even care if it goes back there. its not like i will need a catch pan for racing.

and i believe they are working on to varients of a race ecm.

I read that you can make a belly pan two ways, find the same exhaust and cut the bottom off and use that or take your exhaust of and put it so the the bottom is facing up and then make spacers and buy fiberglass and the glue and make it over the bottom of the exhaust and you will have a belly pan, just us you imagination it is not that hard to do and if you take your time it will come out nice. I talked to a (La.) H-D SERVICEMAN about moddin' the 1125r with (exhaust, race ecm, K&N, and then later a dynojet). He spoke that if all were available right now the bike would run like crap until a programmer was installed and tweeked all mixtures for max output. Then he said the race ecm would void the warranty, and a H-D programmer might work for the bike. And a race license was metioned somewhere in the middle of the conversation. I guess I am tired of IL4's walkin' away from me after 2nd gear, but I am so DIEHARD BUELL that I will be patient an wait the goodies, and enjoy every mile til' then. (4,105mi. & counting).-Boudrx

Realize the aftermarket IS changing with the lawsuit against Powercommander that the Peoples Republic of California just won.

You are not likely going to be able to buy engine modules which will potentially "allow" you to "violate" EPA emission standards any longer.

We all know how to work around that - kinda - but realize that the fine for the manufacturer and dealer for installing is something on the order of $10,000 per violation... and they ARE holding up in court. What you do in the privacy of your own garage is open to debate (and open to the aftermarket)

The aftermarket WILL come in to play in the case of the 1125R - And I'm betting that in next few months, we'll hear about engine controllers but you'll not hear about FACTORY supplied race components to non-racers any longer.

Same-same Japanese bikes.

Here in CA, they ARE checking for DOT/EPA stamps on exhausts (sometimes, when the rider is being a jerk to the police when pulled over) - and within 2 years, supposedly we are going to be seeing smog tests here in the PRC.

Bodywork IS coming.

We are playing with Glendale's 1125R and will be building a couple different concept pieces and having them tested. Truth is, the pieces already "out there" (see Rossmeyer's team pics) are pretty well thought out but a simply mounted, clean bellypan really CAN clean up the visible lines of the belly of the bike.

>>>i think soon there will be lots of aftermarket

That's an accurate statement.

After seeing the 1125R at Daytona I suspect you'll soon see some spiffy bodywork.

That bike was gorgeous.
