Hey Brian/Spectrum -

Take a look at my E-Test spreadsheet.
See if you can replicate my tests and see what results you get.
All you really need besides the ODIS is a Voltmeter and maybe a tube to vent exhaust outside if your garage is closed.

If you have set-up questions, call me - 720-635-0877 or 720-494-0784, I'm at home today.
It would be very good to look at a bike with a marginal to poorly functioning Electrical system also.

Zack

Zack,

I mounted a volt gauge on the bike and my observations of temperature and voltage are almost identical (from riding) to your results.

The voltage gauge has an array of colored LED's. From left to right 2 red, 2 yellow, 2 green, 2 red. first green is 12.5 volts, second green goes up to 15 volts. If an LED starts flashing your just below it's threshold. I've compared it to my voltmeter and it's pretty accurate.

Bottom line is the result I've seen from riding and monitoring the voltage gauge and coolant temperature are almost identical to your findings.

Your test is definitely more scientific, but my road test confirms the same results.

It's a gorgeous day here (in the 70's) so I want to go riding. If I have time, I'll try your test later today or possibly tomorrow.

I had a battery break on my bagger so when I got picked up by a guy who makes his living picking up broken down bikes I thought I would ask him which bike brands breaks down the most and he said they all do. I have MTS towing service and thinking of switching the buell ulysses extended warranty to the 1125R, you can rent a car for 10 days or 750 dollars and wish I read the brochure because I went way over and the car sat in the driveway most of the time and ended up having to pay the car rental shop 350 dollars and the girl stole the cash deposit so I have been fighting that 150 dollars, I must have a black cloud over me with all the bad luck I have? I had a girl friend say that my older sister put a curse on me and described the looks of my sister when she never met her how weird is that?. Mike

Brian -
Yeah I ordered one of those, a Kuryakin, yesterday.

I'm comfortable with day rides but still have reservations about long, hot rides.
This will all be sorted out before it can be a problem.
Looking forward to a trouble-free fun trip to Homecoming.

That shift light that Al from American sport bike has from eclip also works as a voltage check when you turn it on but not sure if you can ride in that mode, I have it on my wish list and sounds like it is really good product. Mike

I love the down spout / dryer vent.

I bet the neighbors get confused when they hear but don`t see your bike.
