curious for those that have 1125Rs - did they remedy the hot foot that the preproduction models had?

Too early to tell yet. I can tell you this:

My warmest day riding was 78F and I got stuck in stop and go traffic on the freeway for about 10 miles. I was wearing street shoes and jeans and could feel heat on my right calf. But it wasn't bad. If I had been wearing my riding boots, I would not have noticed.

So far so good.. but the jury is still out I believe.

+1 Doerman. My experience is the same as yours thusfar, although my ambient temperature has not been as high.

Check right side pics of some of the early preproduction bikes - you'll see the open area ahead of your right foot instep. Check out the production bikes - there's a panel there that prevents hot air from flowing out ahead of your foot.

That's just one thing we noticed at Inside Pass - not sure what else they may have done.

Oh DAMN! That's funny. My thoughts exactly.

If you worried about being hot on a motorcycle, stop riding and take up knitting.

Beautiful! : )

I can say that there is a definite difference between being hot on a bike and having your foot get so hot that it becomes unbearable. If it is was as bad as some of the early reviews, then it is was/is a problem, not just an minor annoyance.

if you were to go back to those reports, it was only a couple of the bikes that reviewers noticed the heat problem...not all of them

"Designed from the rider down"..... down to the ankle! No excuse for a hot foot from a product designed by the likes of Mr Buell, don't ya think.

STFU.... Smarten TFU!

That hot foot is the only thing keeping me warm this winter.
I dont notice the hot foot at all. Might be better off calling it a slightly warm foot.
Im usually having too much fun to be thinking about why one foot is a a few degrees warmer then the other. But i do notice that in wheelie mode my legs get really cold. I need a fat belly pan to help direct the wind

I owned an '04 FJR1300 which was infamous for "boiling" the fuel in the tank if you let it get too low.

Now THAT'S hot!

HARDEN THE F UP! LOL! : )

The heat coming off the header on my right leg (slow roast) is nothing compared to the heat [that was] BAKING my right foot on one of the demo bikes at the track.

The bike was sweet, temps were 85ish, but that heat would be frustrating if it was a constant thing on my own bike. I rode several diff bikes and only recall being really bothered by one of them, but they all let a lot of heat out. When I mentioned it to the techs they reminded me I was riding a pre-production model... They were aware and were working on it.

Nice to know it's not a problem for Doerman, hopefully that will be the same for everyone.

I didn't notice it at all on the 100 mile trip home from the dealer on Friday. Temps in the 50s and 60s.

Hmm, I did 3 rides & never noticed a "hot foot" situation.

Now my KTM, I melted a sneaker & a boot heel, and I mean melted, until I got an aftermarket heat shield.
