The delay in Job 1 Production, what caused the delays ? What needed to be tweaked to get it "Just Right" ?

That IS a good question...

I'd love to know myself.

For those of you who have toured the assembly line in the past, you'll know one of the reasons for the shift of several days when you tour it again...if you were paying attention!

Dangit! We forgot to tell the plumber to run a fresh water tap over to the assembly line so we can fill the radiators!

That's why I'm planning on waiting at least a year to buy my 1125r. They still need to work out the "bugs". It's a brand new design, engine, bike. There's going to be some issues. I've been a hardcore Bueller for a long time but I'm realistic. Bought a Speed Triple while I'm waiting. It's actually a pretty hardcore bike. Still got the Firebolt though. I'll be back for the 1125.
USA Baby!!

No need to worry; these bikes are the most intensely sorted of anything we have produced. The first year is going to be excellent. All the bikes that have been running Inside Pass are pre-production without all the updates, and they have been being hammered for months. It's going to be a great year!

For those who HAVEN'T yet had the pleasure of riding one of the pre- production "unsorted" test mules at one of the Inside Pass days, these things are gonna be seriously great. As much abuse as the poor track bikes get (think rental cars and then run them fast and hard and THEN crash about one out of every twenty of them)

I'm really excited about Buell's future.

I'd bet Buell employees are just giggling!

Gotta agree with Slaughter. Those mules are being hammered and it's amazing how well they are doing.
Also I hope this is the way everyone brings a bike to market in the future.
Damn smart IMHO.

It **IS** a GREAT YEAR.

I'm watching loyal owners of other brands all of a sudden sit up and take notice of the Buell. It's not just the power, but how well engineered it is.

I am starting to get inquiries from folks in Europe about coming to the 25th and last week had dinner with a friend from Holland . . . the Homecoming Trip is already posted on the Buell website.

I have never seen Buell generate so much enthusiasm and interest.

At mid ohio, while I was not paying close attention, I only saw one bike get pulled for mechanical failures. This was on a Buell track day, so tons of XB's, the demo 1125's, and a handful of tubers.

The only mechanical DNF I saw was (suprise :/) a tuber with a broken exhaust stud. Bet they had the old front hanger...

So not only are the 1125's tough as nails, so are the XB's. That was a ton of Buells riding hard and fast, and nothing was breaking.

Yep. It'll be interesting to see how the HD dealers rise to the challenge of killing the buzz.

Oops, dead horse. My bad.
