A few of me. No knee dragging but still cool to see yourself on the track.

I sure hope that the Buell folks continue with the Inside Pass program next year; besides being the best track day venue I've ever been to, it appears to be a good marketing approach to get riders on the seat of Buell models in an environment where you can really evaluate the motorcycles for what they are capable of.

To my knowledge no other manufacturer is doing it.

+1 to everything Xb9 just posted!

It was an incredible experience, and I would LOVE to do it again.

"I also managed to get a bad speed wobble on one of the demo bikes. Going WOT somewhere around 3-5k rpm in 3rd gear, while exiting a turn into the straight, the front end got so light, it started wobbling bad. I stayed on the gas, and it only lasted a second before it corrected itself."

There's a couple of spots on this track where due to the elevation changes on corner exits, the front gets very light (or in the air) under acceleration..
I experienced the same on my XB and the 1125r, I would describe it more like the front end wagging in the air due to steering input/frt. tire skimming off the pavement, not exactly a high speed wobble.
I tightened up the steering damper on the XB and transfered more of my weight forward in those spots to minimize it, with a little finer throttle control. The elevation changes are just one more dimension that Mid-Ohio present that does not exist at some other tracks.

Bingo...you are exactly right. It is real easy to get a little headshake at those parts of the track if you do not keep the front end firmly planted.

I was one of the yellow vested guys running around with you guys/gals, trying to help when I could, and also enjoying the great track time, thanks for a great day!

I would also like to say thanks to Buell for offering us a chance to try this awesome bike on the track! No other manufacturer has made a commitment like this. Erik, you and your Team Rock

John

I know exactly what your talking about. The wobble I had was coming onto the back straight, which I believe was flat, and while I had the front end come up and/or shake numerous times exiting corners, at this one time, it truely was a speed wobble. I was actually passing somebody on the inside when it happened, and I spoke with them later and they specifically remembered seeing it as I passed. It was no small shake! But like I said, it corrected itself very quickly. It was nothing I was worried about.

John, I wanted to shoot a huge thanks out to you and your yellow vested colleagues.

Thank you all so much for a great day! It was my first track day, and just as I told the head guy with PTT, I could not have imagined it going any better than it did.

I was able to learn the limits of my bike, and get to the point where I was completely comfortable at those limits. Next time it'll be all about perfecting lines.

I also must say, most of you instructors are NUTS! You guys would pass me and dissapear faster than I could think Hey I'll try to keep up!

Thanks John, and pass it on. It was a great event.

And thanks again Buell! You made my first track day a fantastic experience... and branded it all with that great blue logo. Talk about great corporate Karma...

Sell bikes that are made to corner great, and give out free knee pucks.

Try to get your name out in front of serious sport bikers, so put on track days around the country.

Try to find problems with a new bike before it hits the showroom, so take 50 around the country letting people run the living daylights out of them.

There's some very intelligent people working at Buell me thinks.

+1 Mike

It is all of those things that makes me not only a buell owner but an enthusiast. Proud to ride a bike from a true homegrown American Company.
