Ok..but heated grips are NOT something i'd be shopping for in a purpose built Superbike.But i guess some do   Seems wonky | ||

Ducxl -- the idea is that you can wear thin roadracing gloves on cool/cold days, rather than thick, numbing mitts. | ||

Seems wonky I remember when the CityX came out, and it's hand guards were riddiculed here on BWB. Then the weather got cold and it was discovered how nice they were. It's only wonky because no one else does it. It may be a good idea despite that. | ||

It may be a good idea despite that. I was going to take those hand guards off when I got my City X. Then the weather got cold and I couldn't find my winter gloves. Funny, after 37,600 miles of riding their still on there. | ||

>cool/cold days Rainy days too. Gotta love heated grips. Prewiring means I don't have to hunt in the manual for the right wire to run my relay to. Sweet. Instructions look pretty complicated for the Buell ones, I'm hoping to use a HeatTroller and Dual-Stars so I can heat my favorite ProGrips (hmm, or Traction grips?) | ||

After experiencing heated grips for the first time last winter, they ARE something I shop around for on ANY bike. Now that I know the benefits of heated grips I will never own a bike that doesn't have them. That the 1125R is pre wired for them is a HUGE bonus and incentive. I will probably only own one bike at any given time and I ride all year round. Heated grips are (as I recently discovered) a must have for riding in 17F-30F degree weather at an average speed of 55mpr-70mph. | ||

I'll get a ton of use out of those  . I was going on about 1300 days straight riding to work until I switched jobs... The last hundred days were through the winter. I would ride 45 miles each way to work. At least 10 times it was down to 12-15 degrees. Thank you for the heated grip plug and the wider fairing Buell . | ||

I've spent quite a few $$ on motorcycles and gadgets for them ... (understatement of the year). The best $30 I ever spent was for heated grips. Glad to hear the new bikes are set up for heated grips from the get-go. Takes nothing away from the "super" of the bike to have the wiring in place, especially since Buell specifically states this is a street bike. Henrik | ||

I love the grips on my FLHP. Might put my spares on the S2, actually... They're the best for those spring/fall days when you can't get home before the sun (and temp) drops. Chances are if an 1125 finds its way into my garage, it'll have 'em too. Although I do confess to being a pu$$y when it's 10*F or colder - I wear a heated jacket liner and heated gloves. One day I'll get smart enough to come in out of the cold, but considering my main transportation is my bikes, or (when there's snow on the ground) my YJ Wrangler...well, let's just say neither is the best for keeping the pilot warm, LOL. |
