Not yet...but I wonder who will be the first to take a pristine 1125r and totally chop it...I would guess Roland Sands, Jesse Rooke or Roger Goldammer will have one cut up before spring.
Now let the debate begin as to whether this should be done, handling vs style, etc.

Please don't. That would be a waste of a 1125r that could be directed to a customer.

It takes a lot of customization to neuter the handling, ruin the performance, in an effort to 'improve' the motorcycle. All so some poseur, who can barely ride, can put on a pirate costume and be seen at bike night.

But really, I don't think this will happen. It's not like you see many Ducati's, Aprilia's, or RC51's hacked up to make choppers. I don't think the Liquid Cooled, Rotax built motor is the look that chopper builders want.

The Jesse Rooke front suspension seems to take anti-dive geometry somewhere beyond insane, not to mention forcing the tire forward when encountering a bump, the opposite of what motorcycle and automotive suspensions generally do to minimize ride harshness. It makes a springer look like a design wonder. I'm sure the Helicon engine will power its share of these art projects, but they're not motorcycles.

I guess the problem is that water cooled engines generally don't make for very attractive "jewels" within the chopper "setting".

It's generally butt jewelry. As attractive as the 1125R power plant is, I don't see it as something that would be much of a display item.

PLEEEEEZZZZZ, I thought this was a family friendly website, no obscene images, no pornography, no filthy disgusting pictures. It's bad enough the image burning in my mind of a BUELL Superbike chopper but if anyone photoshops it and displays it, I hope the mgt. has the good sense to filter that cheap and tawdy porn from our screens immediately.

The TV culture we endure is really too much when it invades the consciousness in such a pervasive and insidious manner by even suggesting such an outright abortion.

There, there... I am getting my bearings now...

RANT OFF, but it could explode again at the mere thought of it. Excuse me while I go throw up somewhere.

Could be worse.

Someone could shoehorn a lawnmower engine into an 1125R.

I posted this knowing full well that it would cause a controversy. It will happen sooner or later, just so someone can say they chopped an 1125r.

Honestly, I don't see the engine as an issue. Rooke built the bike displayed earlier in this thread, Goldammer has built a bike with a blown thumper and one with a 250cc parallel twin kart motor and a CR 250 frame. I love a good handling bike, but you can't deny the artistry these guys turn out. I would like to see what they could do with the Helicon AND its side-pods!

There is no dispute that someone could do whatever desired with THEIR bike. It's their property. They can produce whatever art they desire.

The benefit of art is that every single viewer has the right to evaluate the art as good or bad.

We free thinkers may well decide that it is fugly and without redeeming quality.

I spoke to Roland Sands about a Buell make-over. He's thought about it. Unless they give him a bike, he won't touch it. IMO, I'd see him do an XBS before this 1125r.

WOW some of you guys crack me up. Roland Sands and Jesse Rooke are hands down 2 of the best artists when it comes to custom bikes in the modern era. I love the fact that they build both speed and style. If and it's a huge IF I had the coin to piss away. I'd be in line for a Rooke custom tommorow. That KTM powered bike he did for Dunlop is amazing.

If they choose to use an 1125R for a powerplant in one of there bikes I think it would be an honor.
