Are the Buell gods looking at this bike and planning a full on attack against the japanese & italian bikes? Will this bike be competitive in that area? Without any bias could a guy get off or on a Buell and compare it too a Ducati? In the world of super bikes will this be a contender? | ||

I'm betting no but I'm hoping there's significant support of the privateer for racing on the Club level and at MotoST. Even with the changes in AMA rules to allow 1200cc twins, they're still kinda handicapped against 1000 Inline-fours - though I haven't read the 2009 rules. | ||

No current plans for a factory race effort. No money. Does the bike have the potential? Yes, but like all racing, it would take significant funding to do it at that level. Will they win at a lower cost level? And is there contingency money there? Oh yeah. | ||

"Yeah! Kinda like you can't have a race team without skimpily clad umbrella hotties!" I'll never forget my favorite umbrella girl moment. Kawasaki had just taken the road race team in-house from Muzzy, and everything was not quite dialed yet. I was watching a race on TV and they were panning from rider to rider, most of which had their hot girlfriend holding the umbrella for them. When they got to the Kawi riders, our two 50-something secretaries were there holding the umbrellas for the riders. It was horrific. | ||
