Ok, it may have been an illusion, but I think saw an 1125R on a public highway in Wisconsin. It was Friday 7/20 between 2 and 3 pm. I was riding my XB12X Uly from Oshkosh back to Chicago. We were in the Kettle Moraine forrest south unit, Wisconsin route 67, about 20 away from East Troy, WI. I was heading south. As most bikers do, I always check out the bikes coming at me in the opposite direction and try to identify the model. The first thing I noticed was the over sized air intakes. I felt like a little kid catching a glimps of Santa Claus. Then as we passed each other the rider gave me the low wave. Was it a mirage? Could it have been a Buell employee on a test ride? Either way it was pretty cool. Does anyone have some insight on the possibility that it may or may not have been an 1125R?

Why do I have this mental image of someone at E.T. watching a computer screen showing a map with the location of all the pre-production units and all the pre-production units having a little GPS tracking sticks attached to them.

Thought I saw one last week over on Freistadt or Western between Cedarburg/Thiensville and Jackson/Germantown. I suspect we'll be seeing lots of them around once the production units start to ship.

Another Buell rider saw one Friday in the East Troy area around 5:30pm. I asked him how it looked "in person". His reply..."Sweet....and FAST"

I saw it in Waukesha county on the same Friday and it did not register in the gray matter what it was until it passed by....

I saw one here in Ohio yesterday!

Ok, not really. But at one time in one parking lot, I did see a Cyclone, two Firebolts, a Uly, and a Lightning! That, plus getting the 08 Buell Literature, plus the book specifically on the 1125r all combined got me crazy excited!

If the rider is who I think it is, Santa is a little larger, well ok, a lot larger, but I know what you mean!
If marketed right, this bike will put Buell on the map! At least a bigger section of the map.
Can't wait to see the final product!
The Wife may still not know it yet, but her 9S is getting sold, and "SHE" is getting the 1125R!

Rocco, that "sounds" good.I'm sure she will get some knee draggin in on the 1125!: )
And you'll have to ride it to check the suspension settings right?

Oh and Hclem, I guess if I had rode with you to "look" at that job, I would have maybe seen the 1125 too!

I drive for work and I've been seeing them all over the place. The latest was at a cafe in Allenton (about 30 miles north of Milwaukee).
They do look alot better in person. My g/f was at the corner of Capitol and 124th street and one pulled up next to her at the stop light. She called me right away and said we have to get one!!

They are putting miles on the pre-prod models. You should see a few of them running around Southern WI.

Yes, Coolice it was a business trip, ask Marty. And another thing, you need to log some saddle time on your Uly! It's been over a month and 2500 miles ago when you talked me into buying a Uly and we still haven't rode together. You would have liked last weekend's trip. We cruised through both the north & south sections of the Kettle Moraine.

...I think the factory needs to send one or two down this way. For "hot, humid, traffic" testing here in the DC area. I'll suffer thru the driving, as long as my gas is paid for...I guess. (sigh)

You'll be seeing more and more of them now. Harley on Capital Drive got them for employees. I heard the list is long to ride it. Seems alot of HD employees become Buell fans when something new comes out.

So, Santa, do your Elves need a test rider to evaluate the, uh, rideability and durability of the bike between the Angeles National Forest and Burbank? I do this daily. What a drag.... NOT. :-)

Reading the M109 thread...guess we'll just have to prove the bike at the track, huh? They don't seem able to see past the styling...oh, wait...neither can most people on *this* board, either.

I can't wait to see one in person. I love it in pics...I'm almost afraid what will happen when I see one live. Maybe I can stand behind a counter or something... ;)

No go for Culver's. My buddy couldn't get one for last night. PDC has 2 and his day with one is going to be today. Hopefully I can meet him for lunch and snap some pics.

I did speak to a HD employee yesterday who has a 999 Duc. He got a chance to ride the 1125 yesterday. Said..."its just as fast as mine".

If they got some for HD Capitol Drive employees, then why don't they send one to HD York? I already have my money down and would love to ride one.

I just spotted the 1125R on Yahoo. It was running on as a loop advertisement.
I would say that is one of the best marketing tools around........
I bought my Bolt after seeing it as a Yahoo advertisement......

Will it have the same effect on me twice?.......my wife is going to kill me.
