All Buell engines have been outsourced other than the RW750. Each new engine has been more and more per our specification, so more and more Buell. Maybe some day we will actually build our engines in-house, but we don't talk about future products.

A new facility would have to be built for Buell to produce engines of their own I'm sure. Not much space left in the building they are in right now.

Of course, maybe Buell could find a way to make "One [factory] do two things"?

That would be a hoot!

Maybe dig a basement and move assembly down there and build the engines in the existing space.

That way you could have an "Under engine" assembly line. The Buell way! : ) LOL!

Also, Building under the current factory would centralize the company's mass as opposed to building an new building.

the real tricky part would be lowering the unsprung mass.

Yes, but the engine assembly line would have to be set forward of the CG. Don't forget too, that you would have to have TWO air conditioners, one on either side of the building.

You can't pour the basement first. You'd have to dig the trenches for the ventilation ducts to go UNDER the basement and out the backside just past the parking lot!

Put the engine facility in a Heimholtz chamber attached to the side.
