In light of the release of the Buell 1125r, I would like to offer my sincere thanks and gratitude to the sales staff at Revoluzione Cycle Imports of Calgary, Alberta.

On Saturday, June 9, 2007, I visited Revoluzione's beautiful showroom, having heard that they had a Tricolore 1098 in stock. Armed with my checkbook, I spent over an hour admiring the lovely machinery gracing their moto boutique.

Unfortunately, the layer of insects and road grime I had accumulated on the 120 mile ride to their shop must have rendered me completely invisible, as I was totally ignored by all sales staff on duty at the time. Or, perhaps they chose to ignore me, as I may not be pretty enough to rate as "Ducatisti" material. No matter. I know that my next machine will also be a Buell.

We are thrilled to have you in the Buell community. Special provisions should be in place to warmly welcome fellow Ducati riders I expect to see.

I'm loving the "I think this thing deserves a serious look" comments.

Congratulations!

Courtney, I'm damn proud to be part of this community! If the 1125 is even half as much fun as my 9 is, the thing will sell like hotcakes. And the buzz that new machine has brought out already is amazing. In the last couple of days alone, I must have had a dozen or more people ask me about the 1125 when at the gas station or out riding about, just seeing the word "Buell" on the airbox.

I'm not really surprised by what I see with the new bike, though; it follows the originating philosophies laid down in the earliest models. And that motor, it's gonna be pretty tough for anything to contend with a torque curve that is so flat over such an enormous RPM range. They absolutely nailed it, and everybody in East Troy deserves the recognition they deserve. I'm a huge fan of what Erik has accomplished from day one, and I hope that this machine is able to show the world what his company is capable of.

Congrats are definitely in order, Erik, as are my thanks.

You're just buttering me up to get FUELL in Canada, right? . . . . I know you Canadians!

: )

I'm working on it.

Yeah! The last (and, it WAS the last issue they sent me) issue was pretty good, too! Hell, let's just turn it into a subscription mag, like the most excellent BMW Owner's News, and use the wealth of talent and knowledge compiled by this website/community coupled with the Factory's input, and one-up "The Enthusiast" with a real life Buell publication!

OK, I understand the enormity of such an undertaking, but seriously, expanding FUELL in at least the direction of a true "enthusiast" publication, the BMW Owners News serving as a worthy template, makes sense. It always has great articles, whether they are technical, riding tips, tours, race and trade show coverage, and is OK with discussing the merits of other brands of bikes. As a matter of fact, the first mention of the Ulysses I'd ever seen came out of BMW Owner's News!

FUELL in Canada? Sure, Why not? I'll subscribe, if I have to!

Just in case the Buell salespeople aren't any more attentive to you later this year, I have a technique for the invisible lowly motorcycle shopper syndrome; just find the bike on the floor you want, saddle up and start it up. If it won't start, then do your best impression of loud engine noises blasting through the gears.

That sounds like the squids at my local bike night.
