I have always been saying that the water cooled engine was the last thing BUELL needed, to produce the best supersport on this planet.
I have my XB12R to back my theory, for the GREAT HANDLING of the BUELL bikes. With only 95-100Hp on the rear wheel I could certainly keep up and most of the times do better than my friends on Jap IL4.
When I got the XB12R, they laughed at me. When we started riding together, me riding the XB12R, they stopped laughing and realised how good the BUELL was.
Now, after telling them about the new 1125R I will soon get, they are NOT laughing this time.
I have always said I am waiting for a modern engine from BUELL. It was the last piece of the puzzle. Now I will do what I said, BUY the 1125R.
Now, as far as the looks of the 1125R.......You are not looking at the bike when you ride it!
As far as the front end not being the best looking in the moto bussines.......I am sure I will be showing the rear end to other riders! |

While you are at it, please also be sure to note all the other aspects of the motorcycle that Buell was not the first to use. Let's belittle the Buell in every way possible on everything possible. I even heard that Buell didn't invent the motorcycle. Who knew?

Jaimec come to the rescue: Buell wasn't the first to offer a 5.6 gallon fuel capacity.
Hank adds: The mirrors on the Buell also hold the turn signals.

Ed notes that: The belt final drive on the new Buell superbike will sure be nice.
Jaimec prevents another disaster: Buell wasn't the first to use belt drive on a motorcycle.
Sam says: That new 1125R is water-cooled and had the convectors mounted off to the side to allow the engine to be more forward mounted.
Jaimec averts a catastrophy: Buell wasn't the first to mount the heat exchangers to the side.

There is a rumor that Colin Edwards is going to lose his factory Yamaha MotoGP ride to Jorge Lorenzo; how cool would it be if Colin returned to World Superbike racing on a Buell? If Buell could put a top rider on an 1125, they might do some damage in the world championship. |
