hmm, not bad but looks a little old-skool and the colors have to go. i'm sure its just a dream rendering but...

i've already busted off the radiator shrouds on my first woods ride along with the tip of the number plates. hahaa!

i'm liking the frame design though. would need more angles.

I'll take mine enduro style, as in the KTM 450EX-C. Make one for us vertically challenged types.

Where's the cheese grater?

Glitch, how many versions before the muffler was begrudgingly put out over the back end and not underneath?

I'd have to say I like it. Super-motard version? Oh wait, thats the TT. Sorry

Put lights on it, a license plate, tail light and a seat for a short inseam without sacrificing ground clearance. Then I can give my City-X a trail rest

For what it's worth, Horst Leitner, the founder of ATK, made a prototype dirtbike for KTM that had the muffler low in the frame where the shock usually resides. He did this by moving the single shock to the extreme side of the swingarm. I can't find pics on the web but I remember seeing it in Dirtbike or Motocross Action magazine.

I bet the Buell bike will do something similar.

regarding alternate exhaust locations... the new Aprilias have it just behind the shock under the fender...

if twu-fiddy means a seat height that I can manage, then twu fiddy it is : D I have a feeling the 450 will be too tall for me, the KTM 450 is : |

I couldn't even tell you where that picture originated.

Just do it yourself. There were Super Motos long before any manufacturer made one.
Look at the aftermarket, I'd be willing to bet an SM could be made very easily.
When is the release date?
Within two years is the closest thing to a date I've heard.

It used to cost me almost $2k in the early 80's to SuMo a YZ! I've heard it's somewhere between $2k & $3k now. I wouldn't wanna pay that on top of the cost of a bike anymore. Give it to me outa the box.

5-6 two fiddy and a 29 inch inseam. I blame my parents for the height, and beer and pizza for the width

450 or 250 for competition...well if Eric wants to run with the Big Dogs he has to have a 450 to run with Bubba Stewart. I cannot see having just a 250 and competing in the Lites class. Maybe Eric can get the "GOAT" to come out of "retirement" and ride the new Buelly. Just Dreaming..

I would say 250 would be the safe entry for Buell right now. The AMA and FIM are hatching another sinister plan to kill another class of bike in the 450 due to the high power. They claim the average rider cannot handle all of the power on the professional level and want the big 4 to move to a 350 instead. Word was it was a dead issue, but now that the FIM is in it is getting attention. The only constant is the 250 which they maintain would be regulated to stock parts instead of exotics. The big question is, who do you get to ride it? It has to be relatively successful within the first couple of years in competition to continue or suffer a similar fate as Cannondale.

Complete change of wheels and tires to use 17" roadrace type tires and bigger front brakes, sometimes lowered suspension.

I'd have to wait for the 600 enduro version. At the dealer meeting an artists computer rendering was quickly flashed. Could that be it?

I want something to build a supermoto out of. I'm torn between the light/fast, maintenance intensive competition models and the portly, sensible dual sports out there. I have about a year to make up my mind. I'd hate to have something that can't match the current power/weight ratio of my S1.

I am a Buell fan but if someone wants a dirt bike in any flavor...2 stroke or 4 stroke with knowledgeable dealers, with many available parts.. get a KTM or the Jap 4. "Buell has Balls" to go up against those big guns in the dirt bike world.... some guys just want something different and don't want what their buddy has.."Diff Strokes for Diff Folks". The bike better be really good... Good Luck Buell...sincerely.

Ive had the Kawi KLR, the Honda XR and the older Yami YZ, I did not race them, or catch big air, but it was fun to have a bike that could handle the technical trails, run down the road legally and carry a bit of camping gear. Failing Buell delivering that, I will be back on the KLR for my more single track
