This is an official BMW photo of its all-new G450 Enduro machine that has been competing (under stealth) recently in off-road events. Below you will see a close up of the off-set rear suspension (which allows a straighter intake) and compact 450cc motor (that is canted forward several degrees more than most competitor's singles). The unusual counter-shaft integration with the swingarm pivot cannot be seen in this photo because it is located on the opposite side of the bike.

The bike looks very well designed, and appears to have a chromoly frame, as opposed to the aluminum frames found on many other modern off-road machines. We will keep you posted with additional details as we receive them.

the exposed front side of the motor looks awful dicey to me. that bash plate better be a good one along with the durability of the motor walls beneath it. pipe is feel pretty exposed as well. wonder what kinda hits the prototypes took.

looks pretty good overall styling wise but a few things throw me... like the view from the other side. older proto shots look like its a b*tch to change out your countershaft sprocket. wonder how the FI will do too (?)

My guess is that this is still a prototype. All of those exhaust bungs look like crap, and the header path will probably change a little bit when they are removed. It does look good though, better than the japanese offerings, about on par with Husky/Husaberg/KTM/other european factories

The frame design is an interesting departure.

This is just hearsay, but word is- since BMW just bought Husqvarna, they don't plan on releasing the BMW enduro.

That's right, BMW just bought Husqvarna from Cagiva/MVAgusta. They did it on July 20, my birthday.

We still don't know what that is going to mean to we Husqvarna owners... strange goings on.
