Went to homecoming today at Buell factory. Production is happening! Good luck to Buell and success with sales. Talked to a few guys there who are excited and ordering new Buells. Good to see American production.

That’s good to hear. I hope they’re eventually successful enough to bring out some of the models EBR had on the drawing board.

My take: I made the trip and spent a couple of hours checking out the bikes and crowd. I opted to cage it and not to ride the 3 hours in heat, humidity and I-94 traffic!

The had a pretty good turnout, with folks coming and going while I was there. Plenty of Harleys surprised me a bit, but there were numerous "vintage" Buells (Wisconsin born). The shop had quite a few racing Buells/EBRs to check out, and the had tours of the production area as well.

FWIW, the proposed adventure bike looks a LOT better in person than what was in pictures previously. And the carbon fiber bodywork looks good on the models on the floor. Allegedly most of the new bikes on the floor (at least the half dozen or so in the production space) were sold! Good to hear for the company!

Bill was noted as smiling the whole time and I heard him exclaim "NICE!" when he saw the crowd inside checking out the line and bikes.

I didn't buy one of the "Homecoming 2022 Grand Rapids" banners. I know it's Buell Motorcycles' new "home", but I'll still plan a trip to Wisconsin to visit the birthplace!

Joe Beavers had his stunt bike for multiple shows and trashed a few tires, for sure. The even had a food truck there to serve up food and drinks...but there weren't any bargains there!!

I'll be interested in seeing any FB posts they'll have. They had a drone pilot filming stuff, so I'm sure it'll make it to social media somewhere.

Good for them! I wish them the best and hope they are successful in this venture!
