Noone1569, Not sure what to think. Parts list is out there but hard to find. The list has what looks like some complete bikes in it. There is an order form for parts with a FAX number and an email address for Marissa. So not sure if all parties at Liquidap have heard the same message. I sent in a request for ECM so will see what the response is.

Well FML! I wanted to order some parts (and will still try).

It sure looks like a parts shop to me. If it were intended to generate interest (and/or offers) on the whole kit and caboodle, they'd do a hell of a lot better if they had quantities available/on hand.

Just another chapter in this saga I guess...

I knew I should've stopped in at EBR when I was in East Troy for the holidays

Good grief. Stop all the naysaying. The Melvin family who own LAP are avid motorcyclists. They want to sell or maybe even finance the asset package for a restart of production as a whole company. But the first thing they have done, as fellow motorcyclists, is at least get parts available for owners! Come on! They didn't put up "bulk" prices or quantities on the parts list, simply because it's just for EBR riders to get parts!

We all certainly hope that is the case.

However, all we, on the outside of this, can do is speculate at the moment. And that's something badweb is fantastic at doing, speculating. As you know, we are a passionate, irrational bunch!

Either way, access to the parts that were in the warehouse is likely a good thing for us owners. There's certainly some things on that list that would be nice to get a hold of.

I spoke with a few people at LAP; here is more information:

1. The list was taken down for revisions, but most of what was on there is in fact for sale.

2. The complete bikes are not for sale YET. LAP stated that they intend on conveying a turnkey business, intact (which almost contradicts with parts listings, unless the intention is to provide access to our needs. I am going to assume it's an honest help to us.)

3. The orders are a very manual process. Your request will be pulled, weighed, shipping quote will be placed, and then they will contact you with the final price and availability.

I hope this helps clear some confusion. I am off to look at some microfiche and build a few kits for myself!

That's not necessarily a contradiction. If current owners can't get parts to keep their bikes running until the new owner gets things running, that gives the new owner an even larger barrier to overcome when they do stand the company back up. Making the parts available helps keep current owners happy and more likely to buy new bikes if/when EBR is restarted.

The listings for the auction I saw indicated that one lot consisted of spare parts, while parts required to complete bikes in the midst of assembly were separate. If LAP could convey the parts required for assembling the partially complete bikes to the new owner, that would help them get started.

Might I remind the remainder of you naysayers or doubters that "Anonymous" has a very clear track record on this board of being someone that has very very accurate information regarding things Buell and/or EBR related.

Sure, it could be anyone out there, but my personal experiences have almost lead me to view information from He/it/them as incredibly accurate.

If they have it, and it's paid for, why not just spin it off into its own separate company as a subsidiary of LAP? If it makes a profit, it still brings that profit back to all the partners. Since it seems to be a family business, I would expect that one of the family may want to give it a try.

How much would it cost to get the "entity" incorporated, and get all the other government paperwork done? (EPA, DOT, etc.) This is a part of the auto industry that I know nothing about (which is why I ask), could be cheap, could be another many millions for all I know.

As far as the anon usage, the mods are pretty quick to flip that back to the member name unless it is really warranted, seen it a number of times. If they let it persist, they know who it belongs to.

I ordered parts. Totally psyched to see the inventory of race parts on the market - I was going to have to start fab'ing my own somehow in order to keep racing the 1125 this year.

Correct. I can vouch that this Annon is legit.

Honestly the post is a bit reassuring to me, I'm still pessimistic about LAP overall, but not as much as I was previously.

Makes total sense to me. The Melvin's, regardless of motivation, need to dispatch the parts. They can't be used, or it would certainly be unlikely, in future production and the instant highest and best use is to keep products of the former company running.

Of far greater interest is what direction the go with the braintrust and capacity. Their stead should put them squarely before the cream of the crop of potential investors. If the Melvin family can't move it in 90 days.... It's a parts sale.

Things, I'd agree, are the best, at present, they can be for EBR owners.

The parts availability are very timely. I now am able to easily keep my 1125r on the track. I just spent a lot of money and should be set for my first expert season.

Just received this via e-mail from LAP:

Kickstand Up, Ready to Roll...

EAST TROY, WI – EBR Motorcycles has recently completed the protracted Wisconsin Chapter 128 business restructuring that began last April. The EBR 2012 – 2015 model parts inventory, brand name, trademarks, patents, operating licenses, testing equipment, assembly lines and all the future models under development are now owned by Liquid Asset Partners of Grand Rapids Michigan.

Liquid Asset Partners is actively reviewing options for a qualified individual or company to acquire or finance the motorcycle business and take it to the next level.

Erik Buell, founder of EBR, said, “This is indeed an incredible opportunity for a huge head start on getting an American sport motorcycle business going. I have to thank Bill Melvin Jr., Bill Sr., and the team at Liquid Asset Partners for seeing this and working toward activating the assets and building motorcycles again. It is also great that they have stepped up to immediately address parts availability for EBR owners. The old company had many of the pieces in place for success, and I am very energized by the opportunity to re-engage under a new corporation with the right ownership and focus.”

Kim Tordik, key management member, has worked side-by-side with Erik for over 30 years. Kim started with Erik in the early years of the fledgling Buell Motor Company, continued through the Harley years and on to the start-up of Erik Buell Racing. “I have seen and been a part of all the challenges and successes over the years. Working with Erik, we have always focused on keeping the customer first and top-of-mind. The amount of energy and enthusiasm for Erik Buell and his legacy brand is as prevalent now as ever. Knowing personally the extraordinary assets that are available and the creative talent we have, the best years are still ahead.”

The first step, beginning next week, will be to make service and repair parts available directly from Liquid Asset to the owners of the EBR RS, RX and SX models, as well as performance parts for previous Buell models that had been available from EBR. Since the motorcycle selling season is approaching quickly, management is making significant progress towards plans for the production of new RX and SX models. The goal is to have 2016 model EBRs rolling by mid-March.

Steve Smith, key management member, says “the ‘muzzle is off’ and that it is time to reach out to EBR suppliers, dealers, customers and fans around the world. During the restructuring process it was inappropriate for the staff to talk about the specifics. Not being able to speak up was very frustrating, as there was no shortage of false information and speculation being spread. The “Buell Nation” and EBR enthusiasts were inundated with all sorts of opinions and misleading stories over the last 9-10 months. With Liquid Asset now in control of the motorcycle assets and intellectual property, we are in a position to begin the process of restarting. We love and appreciate the continued enthusiasm of the EBR riders groups; to help with the future success of EBR, we encourage riders and enthusiasts to talk to their closest dealer and prepare their personal finances for hopefully buying a 2016 model EBR.”

Once the plans are implemented, the path is open for the next step of growth. The American innovation, speed and persistence of Buell and EBR that have been demonstrated and appreciated by hundreds of thousands the world over will still require significant resources to move to the next chapter. Liquid Asset has taken on the mantle of “brand steward” and is committed to preserving the true American Sportbike company with its lineage going back to 1983. Along with production initiating on RX and SX, new segment busting models that deliver Erik’s unique vision are on the drawing board. The new company has many assets and is ready to expand rapidly.

Anyone interested in more information about the EBR opportunity should contact Liquid Asset Partners at www.LiquidAP.com.

Anyone interested in EBR parts should visit www.LiquidAP.com/EBRparts/

Thank you,
Team EBR

Why doesn't king shit-talker come down from the stands and make a real offer if he really wants to own EBR?
Looks like LAP will happily sell to a qualified investor.
Folks who bashed LAP here while singing the praises of Belfor should be ashamed of themselves. All the adoration he got was sickening. All he did was have a few puff-pieces written about him with low angle photos looking tough with arms crossed while posting bombast here about never quit and other trite tropes and cliche.
It looks as though sly Mr. Buell was in contact with LAP all along and would have had nothing to do with a Belfor owned company.

Additionally, if he was to build a bid, he has to first sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement, meaning "Mr. King Shit-talker" has to bite his tongue anyways.

I personally hope he doesn't lower himself to responding to the likes of you. That's what the rest of us are here for. To tell you that you might want to wait until the dust settles before you go flapping your mouth about things you have no real knowledge about.

I'm pretty sure Erik was legally prohibited from any such deals until the receivership was settled.

What's the point of a personal attack after the fact, either on a person who tried to save an American company, or people that supported him trying to save an American company?

I did some research also, and I get the concerns. But he did a lot more than I could or would, even if it didn't work out. And even if it was perhaps for the better that it didn't work out. I respect anyone for trying though.

Throwing random rocks and talking tough completely from the sidelines seems, well, lame.

I'm pretty well up on the details. They're neither germane, relevant or important in this forum.

The statement that less than 1% understand what's happening before their eyes is perhaps the most accurate information of late.

I'd suggest we sit tight ..... Wait the 6 weeks out and prepare to commence our spirited discussion on the merits of the 2016 EBR range.

In the meantime, I'm going to go ride.

I would like to say a special thanks to LAP for opening up parts availability. That really helps with the anxiety of riding my sx around, especially in the manner in which it was designed to be ridden in.
