For fear of coming across as a negative Nelly... The RX benefits from the fairing to hide the underslung muffler...and that oil cooler which looks a bit tacked on (though obviously, it's not). I know why they did what they did on the headlight, but it just looks too deep and disproportionate for the bike. Or maybe it's the low mounted signals. Hard to say. I'd like to have the pod panels body matched (on the red bike). |

Hopefully it will come in a low version. I don't think you can shave that seat down much |

I wonder what they did if anything with gearing? I notice, it has no front brake air scoop. |

Anxious to see how this one runs - the Super Duke and the Monster Duck needs some competition - this looks better already - I can see some aftermarket opportunities in seats and a grill to hide the fans ... |

And something to tuck into those gill holes in that flyscreen. It looks to be begging for some big honking driving lights. |

I don't regret my RX. Not feeling the look of the SX. |

I think it is a pretty solid first shot at a naked bike. Could use some fine tuning for sure but that will come with time.I am just glad we have a legitimate sport bike from Wisconsin. |

If the engine and chassis are identical to the RX, this should be more than competitive in the naked bike market. I was hoping for a more comfortable looking seat and different tail section, but they could be saving that for the AX. Not like I could afford it now anyway |

Anyone notice from the other pics the key goes in the side like the XBS's. I dig it. |

I think it's pretty ugly, and looks unfinished. surprised to see the Pods are back, after all the negative response they received on the 1125's. Don't really understand why they left the pods open like that, to expose the fan? Nope, not my cup of tea, hopefully the AX will at least be closer to a KTM adventure bike than just a warmed over Uly... |

To me it's not different enough from the RX. Looks identical to me, minus the plastic. |

Bamabuell11 the RX seat is very very comfy, we're talking 400+ mile days comfy. It is slippery though. I want the honeycomb radiator guards for my RX! Part #'s please!!! |

Classax, is it foam or more of a gel feel? It looks as even more uncomfortable than my Firebolt, but I shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Next time I'm near a dealer I'll have to see one in person |

I like the monochrome version of the flag on the RX better than the color version on the SX. Other than that, not bad. |

It has a gel feel to it but I'm almost certain its foam. It actually one of the more comfortable seats on the market. Better than anything by the Nippons and on par with Beemer. What you will NOT like about is that its very slick under hard braking, with textiles more so than leather. |

It looks good. Not great, not sexy, but good. But then I like Speed Triples- ugly, serviceable, good. I think the Typhon looked better, but this definatly looks good. Use what they have, make minimal changes for minimal manufacturing expense. It's perfect. I don't know what some of you expected, this is what a street fighter is, a sport bike with the fairings removed and a minimalist headlight. Why would they change the tail? Why would they change anything else? Less is more. Let's hope it's not "detuned", I doubt it will be. It'll probably just have shorter gearing. Those aren't "pods", they're the functional part of the ducting inside the RX fairings. Everything was designed to work with them, and the radiator frontal area between the forks & header is so small, they probably can't function without the that airflow. Form follows function- I think it looks sharp, personally. I think as far as what they need to accomplish, and not spend a ton doing it, and getting it to market, this is right on the money, and pretty much exactly what I expected. It's not gonna win converts based on looks alone, but it's a model option for us, and a step in the right direction. The headlight housing/clocks is too minimalist for a Ully base though....which is fine, a little variety across the models will help, I think. I can't wait to see the new whale tail, and here's crossing our fingers for a faired AX/ST Sport Tourer. In today's market, that's where the money is. That and beginner bikes. I have an 1125 and an XT now, if they can combine the two in a brutally powerful 1190 version, I will buy it. |

Given it's chain drive, the stock gearing of the SX is much less of a big deal. It's not too expensive to switch sprockets and chain, particularly since they are all wear items anyway. |

The more I look at it, the more confused I become. The bulk of the issues, to my eye, is the muffler, oil cooler, and exposed fan. Yes, covering this stuff up will take away from the naked styling direction, but it just looks unfinished and cobbled together. I'm all about what EBR is doing and has accomplished over the past few years. And for that matter, I think the RX is a sexy beast. But this? I'm not sure it's going to have the market impact needed to differentiate the line up and attract new buyers. I sincerely hope I'm wrong, because the upcoming AX has my curiosity piqued. I want EBR to succeed. |

That red one looks really sharp. I like how the black area of the cowling blends with the black tank and the red body parts flow together front to back. I betcha some aftermarket exhaust guys will figure out how to reroute/hide the secondary muffler can under the tailpiece and make it with ultra-light material to minimize incurring a weight penalty. |

"Those aren't "pods", they're the functional part of the ducting inside the RX fairings" how is that different from pods? I mean, the 1125 pods were a functional part of ducting, right? right. |

I wonder, ergonomically it looks like it would be very similar to a CR with high bars, maybe just a spacer is all that might be needed to get that same feel?? |

Fail! Mirror arm cover is up. LOL.... Seriously, that would have been a great addition, putting a complete grill over the fans. Just looks..... unfinished. But it's growing on me.. BTW what bike is that? Beautiful |
