No it's great marketing. But if they did it just for marketing, it would be in a much more valuable market where they would get national press, not just local press. | ||

Everbody's jumping on the ole "Patriotic help a Vet" bandwagon nowadays so I'm not surprised HD is also. That's what I think Xb1125r was referring to. I am a Vietnam Vet so I am not slamming Vets or what they have done because I am one. I recently went into the local HD for my 10,000 mile checkup on my 2008 XB12X and they couldn't do the front end because they didn't have the parts and couldn't get them. What happened to the 7 years of support? They may not be totally self serving but they suggested I dump the Buell and buy one of the HD bikes they had. I sure hope there are better dealers out there because this one deserves a d- the way I see it. | ||

I bailed from HD when I saw the free and easy credit tide leaving the financing market ...... i did stay through the 1-2 sucker punch of no Griffen, no Buell.... and indeed most of the fun was sucked out of it by then. Really, my work attitude went to hell after Buell closed. | ||
