what happened to this threat that started a few weeks back? lets keep tracking who is paying what OTD for buells and for 09 or '10 models. dealers in indiana all tell me they have yet to receive shipments of 2010 bikes. most want $6700-$7200 PLUS TAX for the bikes (xb line) with the 1125s going cheaper.

There are 2010 XB's around. Members here have bought a few. Dealers are waiting on the final production to be shipped. They will know what they get when and if they get it. I know of prices very close to that but a bit higher. I've also seen prices much higher.

If you want a 2010 and are worried about that price I wouldn't. That's not a bad price. Ever since the frenzy started pricing has crept upward. One dealer's 09 XB's have increased $500 in the last week. They had models listed at 6K 6.5K & 7K. Now that same range is 6.5K, 7K & 7.5K.

I put money down on an 09 XB12X.$7490 plus Tax and Title.I was happy w/ the price.I tried ordering one for $6999 and the dealer could not get one.The dealer in Great Falls,MT says he is getting in some 010 and 09 models for around $7750 plus T & T.

I wonder if in the next months when the final production bikes hit dealers, and sit there being that its winter, if dealers will drop prices to a normal profit level or better? before the closing was announced you could get buell xbs for say $8700-9000, so they already discounted them from full retail of $10.2k, so with the 3k rebate they should be selling them for $5700 and they'd still make their profit. i have a feeling demand will drop off as everyone that really wanted one AND CAN REALLY AFFORD TO BUY ONE, will have bought out the 2009s...i dont see the buying frenzy continuing just because the bikes are discontinued...

That's a gamble you'll have to decide for yourself.

people are buying them becuase they will be classics if they dont coem back and if the brand does come back you are getting a great bike for the price.
either way you can't go wrong.
I already have 2 buells wish I had room to buy another one ; )

I bought one because I have been looking at an Uly XT since they first came out. Came close to buying an 08 then the next year an 09. Waited for some reason...Just not the right time and decided to go for the 10. When the news came out I thought that now was the time! Why wait, they ain't makin them any more! Bought that 09 for $4200 off MSRP. I am happy because I bought it to RIDE!

In Spain the new prices are fixed:

All 1125 models = 4.000 € down ( almost $ 6.000 US )
All XB models = 3.000 € down ( almost $ 4.500 US )

Not bad!... ; )

The HD Spain dealers manager told me last week that a Buell dealer in Germany has ordered 300 bikes for stock!

Had some fool at a dealer in bloomington, Indiana tell me when they get the 2010 models in they want FULL MSRP because they will be CLASSICS, collector bikes. Yea right, that wont last. They couldnt get full msrp before it was announced they were going under. They wont get it now. plus i expect plenty of used buells in the coming years as people tire of the ones they bought. there are always plenty of used motos for sale, especially in indiana where the riding season is so short.

If you don't mind traveling or shipping try some of the board sponsor dealerships or other out of state to you. Might find the bike and price you seek. Even place an ad in the wanted section.

Unless there is more than one Buell dealer in Bloomington IN they are a board sponsor. They are also very good people as I have Drag Raced with them for the last two years. Their pricing is their business and if doesn't suit you take your business elsewhere. Really no reason to bad mouth them in my opinion. ref

dudes I don'nt know about hte pricing, it might depend on the area and the economics.
I know guys who pais 9k for 1125rs brand new and they are not complaining.
Maybe parts where the economy is hurting more you mght get a better deal or if dealer does know what they really have when they have a Buell.
