Hope this isn't a repeat. Positive article in Britain's Telegraph newspaper, includes some encouraging stats on Buell worldwide sales, as well. It's a great article and is consistent with some of the chatter I am hearing from some of some HD stockholders. . . . Make note of this . .

Wish he got that kind of respect (or even notice) from the US bike press. |

I like the last line of the article: "...Perhaps Erik should concentrate on making new knees as well, as that looks like the only thing slowing him down at the moment..." It's funny, 'cuz with all the patents and non-motorcycle ideas in his head, he could very well pull that off too... |

I wish the HDI Board of Directors would realize what they have right under their noses and use him to his maximum. I think HDI is teetering along the edge of a cliff and I have little confidence that they are aware of how steep it is nor how to avoid it. |

Write a letter and send it to each of them? We all ought'a do that. Maybe include a nice little gift with the letter too. Do the HDI board members like Scotch or...? |

Someone else is footing the bill for the next bottle of scotch! The good stuff is pricey! |

I think HDI is teetering along the edge of a cliff and I have little confidence that they are aware of how steep it is nor how to avoid it. I think they're aware, I just don't know that the dealers, who tend to be more focused on the short term bottom line than where the brand is going to be in 25 years, get it yet. How many people under 35 do you see in a Harley dealership on any given Saturday? Or at a motorcycle rally for that matter? BMW faces the same problem, though they're in worse shape with an average rider age in the 50s and no new blood. |

no, I usually buy one bottle at a time. My current meds keep me from drinking any currently though. That was a v ery nice bottle of scotch, 18 year old highland single malt. My favorite is still 21 year old Auchentoshan (pronounced oshentoshen) lowland single malt. It has a mellower toffee flavor to it. If my meds change again I'll be sharing a bottle with my fellow Buellers, but it is too pricey for me to gift it right now. http://www.auchentoshan.co.uk/21yearold.aspx |
