I'm trying to find out where two of the four bumpers for the tail section bodywork are located. I can see two on the rear of the subframe in the parts manual but where are the other two? I'm attempting to install the carbon fiber tail section on my xb12r. One more thing, I tried to order a seat for the tail section but it is now unavailable through buell racing dept. is the seat just a stick on foam pad?

The other two are mounted on the front of the rear subframe, and support the front part of the seat. Threaded inserts are used to locate them.
The seat foam was just that, sticky-backed foam. Make your own, like that you can tailor-make it to your height and riding preference. I found the standard foam too thin and a bit too low for our rider, sitting him completely in the machine, but I guess that aerodynamics counted more at Daytona than over here, so I moved him up a bit and further over the front end to load it up better. (We ran maximum of 14 litres of fuel at most of our sprint races, so a bit of weight on the front helped.)
