Bryan, Somewhere in the KV, LaFayette posted about an adhesive he had found that worked for gluing the rubber bushings back into the tank. Those aluminum tanks from American Sport Bike sure are nice though. Before I go to Harley and pick up a new Voltage Regulator, I want to run this across you and see what the General consensus is. My battery suddenly decided not to charge on my S3. 4 yrs old so replaced battery. New battery decided not to charge. Tested fine. Inspected Regulator, cleaned mounting surface. Regulator bleed test with test lamp, no illumination. Milliamp draw test, 2 milliamps. Total Current draw test, 1 Amp. Current output test, low amperage, 8-9 volts idle then drops to less than 1 volt when engine is revved. Stator Check, 0 Ohms. AC ouput test 58-62 volts. From what ive read it points towards the regulator. Any words of wisdom would be helpful. The person isn't responding to emails. It wasn't a lot of money (only $15). That kit I felt was a buying/ selling point when I bought/ sold the S2. Go figure. It's great that we can talk about these things and understand about not stepping on our fellow Buelligan's toes. I've had this happen 2-3 times and always the fellow Buelligan would communicate their wants and needs and we would work it out. Great board made of Great people. Time2Work.
