This is a Brand New 97 S1 motor. At one time these motors were available to certain individuals and race teams through Buell Racing. Since the demise of the tube frame models they have become scarce and hard to come by. They were sold with no numbers and have Race Use Only where the numbers are normally stamped. In most states that have the title go with the frame this is not a problem at all (I have 2 of these titled and on the street). In states where an engine number is mandatory you might have to have the state assign a number and you stamp it on the case OR it might have to be titled as a custom build and not be considered a true HD or Buell. Check with your DMV if you are interested. Offered here for 2 days before going on e-gay. $2500+shipping.

Is there an MSO to go with it?
I think that's all you would need for titling purposes.

The motor is currently in Iowa. As of March 5th AND if it doesn't sell before it will be in Northeast Tennessee. It will come with a bill of sale and a proof of purchase form from the Buell motor company. Depending on where in the country you are located..these usually ship for approx. $50 to $150 by Fedex Freight.

1320,
Can you go in and edit your post and put a carrage return after each picture.
That way they will display vertically instead of horiziontaly.
Much easier to view, no need to scroll back and forth..

Will the Sportster engine bolt up to the Buell front engine mount?

>machining as in to bolt up to the frame?

You'll need to drill and tap the front head for the different size mounting bolts on the front, you'll need to get the top motor mount on, you'll need to drill and tap a hole for the lower front motor mount, you'll need a new swing arm mount, exhaust, air cleaner ...

>are the engines the same performance wise?
No, you'll drop ~30HP with the sporty motor assuming the sporty is a 1200 not an 883 (in which case you'd drop closer to 40HP).
