Asking prices help too.

Ah, okay, two digit no dollar sign prices got lost in the text. Thanks for the correction.

He does have asking prices listed : )

He'll never get close on the S1, for his asking price of $6K though. Most S1s are going between $3500 and $4500.

Don't know what a used RC51 goes for though. But he's asking $9K

You ask big money all you like. The market will only bare so much. My '98 S3T was in showroom new condition with 9K on it. Not a single scratch on it, large bags, race kitted(pipe, muffler and air cleaner), PM wheels, rear stand, extra brand new shock rear shock, 2 tank bras, extra hinge/lock kit for bags, fairing lowers, a set of Dunlop 208 GPs with 1 track day on 'em, etc... Bought from a Buell employee about 9 months ago for $4250. The thing is in pristine condition, and didn't come with the "optional bubbling letters".

I'm sorry to be blunt, but you are asking WAY too much for that bike. You'll never sell it for even close to that price IMHO. $4K is more like it.

No poser here I assure you.My local dealer has a Nicky Hayden signature model that I can pick up for $1200.00 more then your bike.Brand new no miles and warranty to boot.Your bike to me is a 7k bike and doesn't matter what you did to it.It is what it is.....a 02 RC51.Ohhhh and for that $1200 more out the door I get to beat on my bike first.

Its the same bike as your's though and if your dealer is selling them for 6500 then that means yours is worth half that. Why do I need to sell my bike??If I want one I'll buy one.Look at Ebay your RC 51's going cheap every day.

O Damm A Blast An A Xb
I Am Really Scared Now!!!!!

Be afraid... be very afraid

Oh, I forgot to mention. We have approximately the same amount in those 6 bikes, that you are asking for your 2 bikes.

'98 S3T (red) $4250
'00 Blast $1900
'97 S1 race bike + '99 X1 race bike $4600
'03 XB9R $3200
'98 S3T (black) $3200

$17,150 total.

So I'd say I've got a pretty good idea of what Buells go for, and yours is far too expensive. But hey, if you want to ask $6K, go right ahead and ask that, for a 9 year old bike that originally sold for $10K. Naah, I'd like an S1, but I'd rather buy close to 2 if 'em for the price you're asking for yours.

I always find people like you odd. I try and give you a "normal" asking price for a bike you're obviously trying to sell, and you attempt to insult me.

btw, $6500 for "NEW" XB12 is approximately $2K below a dealer's COST. So it's either

1.) you can't read so well
2.) you're trying to feed us a line of crap
3.) Your local dealer is about to lose his Buell line.

I'd gander a guess that's it's 1 & 2.

Good luck on your endeavors...

Well one thing I didn't do is resort to calling names. How old are you??Oh your 50 just about ready for depends and been doing Viagra for awhile.Wake up old man the bike is what it is.But they do say it worth what ever it sells for.Good luck ummmm..with all your problems.

Sorry Blake for doing this but I hate name calling.

Joe, WTF is your problem? 2 respected board members give you an honest opinion of what your bikes are worth and you becaome a jerk? Please leave this board and do not come back! Your bikes are worth about half what you are asking. Don't believe us? Put them on e-bay big man!

Joe (Vlad?),
Apart from the flack it would be good to post a pic or two of your bikes. Lots of lurkers about.

I've tried to sell one or the other of my bikes off and on but won't go below my price so I still have them which is just fine.

In any case it sounds like you're looking to sell just to make room, not to dump them or make a buck. Motards don't take up much room, wouldn't mind having one myself, but need a two-up crusier before getting a solo playbike to keep the home happy.

Say hi to MikeyP if you know him, I think he may still have his S1. Hmmm, didn't he also get an RC as well, or something along those lines? Hmmm, interesting.

In any case take care and good luck with the sales.

MikeJ.

MikeyP does in deed have an S1WL and an RC51.

Make room for more bikes, you're going to soon have a large collection.

Who care if it got 99 miles it still has 20 thousand on the ticker. And I don't know who rebuilt it.BTW your bike has PM's....nice wheels. But the cast wheels as you say on the other bike as you say.....do some Buell history homework. Those are Marchesini wheels that came stock on the bike.I'll take those over PM's any day and so would most on this board.Don't mix them up with the cast wheels that you see on 98 to 2002 tube frames. Those are better.

As long as everyone else is getting off topic, Who asked all of you to put in your 2 cents on what his bike is worth? I thought this was where you listed your bike for sale, not where you listed the bike and had everyone tell you what they think about it!! If you are not interested in the bike, just move on, stop waisting space on BS comments trying to some how make youself look like an expert on what he can sell the bike for. Stuff sells for way more then it is worth every second of the day, doesnt mean it is right, but it does happen. Give this guy a break, he put time and money into the bike and he wants to try to get it back, no harm to anyone here, just dont buy the bike. Or maybe just say something like, That seems a bit hight to me, but nice bike and Good luck.

When I first came to this site it seemed as though I had finally found a place where people didnt down each other, but helped out. Now I am starting to realize, I just didnt browse around enough posts.
