Looking for some Jim's service tools for Buell/H_D, hoping this is OK in this section. Used tools/price preferred but New is fine.

#5516 - This is the big socket for the drive belt pulley
#2312 - This is the primary locking bar tool
#1007 - This is the metal engine/trans stand

Open to other makes/variants of the above tools.

Please email me at RTLLL@yahoo.com with what you have and a price.

Thanks,
Rick

I use a piece of 1/4 steel cut to size to lock the primary. A $35 engine stand for a sportster off ebay fits, with just a tiny amount of clearancing. Haven't needed the drive pully socket enough to buy one, I have a diesel mechanic buddy with plenty of big sockets, that I can borrow when the need arises.

Thanks for the suggestions Mike, I'll take a look at those options.

Thanks again,

Rick

I think the pulley nut is 1-7/8”, get an impact socket from harbor freight. I bought the pulley holder tool and the socket together on eBay for $60 IIRC, but the socket was some kinda alloy, It’s starting to get sloppy after a few uses. Definitely use an impact and a pulley holder so you don’t transfer all that impact into the transmission.

I also use an old leather belt layered on itself wedged into the clutch gear and primary chain. The teeth will bite into the belt and it doesn’t create any bends or notches in the teeth like the 1/2” bar can. The bar works too, I just feel like the belt is easier on the teeth but it’s probably harder on the chain.
