And an archive link for the future. https://web.archive.org/web/20180824215517/https:/ /newyork.craigslist.org/wch/mcy/d/buell-hd-1200-fi rst-year/6677492566.html

Not mine, don't even know who it is but buying it would be grounds for divorce so I'm out. I am local so if someone needs me to check it out or help in some other way, just shoot me a note.

Free breathing? Is that the reason for no air cleaner? Would make a great addition to the collection

Surprised that late a VIN still has the machined triple clamps - thought that was just the first 300 or so?

No....MSRP for the S2 was $11,995, S2T was $12,795, and I believe an extra $2K for the PM wheels

Still, that was a lot of $ at the time

That shows your age... ; )

At the end of production, weren't the RS and RSS, ~$17K and ~$17.5K respectively?

I had the better part of $25k into my RS.

Worth every penny.

I have all the paperwork somewhere .... along with the XR-1000 and XLCR.

Just wondering if the situation with the battery, the blacked out heads, the shift lever, the dark charcoal frame, and chain final drive are the way this bike came from the factory, or if the battery has been hacked, the heads are T-storm heads, the boomerang shift lever has been replaced, the frame has been painted or is a S2T frame, and the final belt drive replaced??? Has this bike had extensive mods made to it???
