I have for sale a set of S3 locking saddlebags with unreinforced Inners, and scuffed silvery lids and 3 sets of keys. I also have collapsible liners, the subframe and the rear bracket. $500 + shipping or best offer. I don't want to split up the set unless I can get rid of it all quickly. My Paypal address is GerardWing at Comcast dot Net.

The paint finish feels rougher than the sparkly paint in the photographs would suggest. I would scuff it up more and repaint them, but a owner of a silvery Buell may want to try and restore them.

There are some thin cracks in the usual place on both Inner Saddlebags which don't photograph well, I will email you the complete set of pictures to the email you request. I have fiberglassed my own Inners as mentioned in the BadWeb archives. It has been effective if kinda gnarly looking. My understanding is the Inner Brackets are ABS plastic.

The latches are known to fail, one of mine has. I have used this solution also from the BadWeb archives:
http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/47623/671637.html I am working on another solution which will essentially be a blank plate with the cylinder mounted in it with an enlarged arm on the cylinder which corresponds to a hole in the blank plate above the unlocking mechanism directly below.

The drawlatches are also known to fail. 2 of mine have. I have replaced those two with U bolts and large fender washers as recommended in the Badweb archives.

I have fitted a set similar to this to my 2000 M2 Cyclone. I had to fabricate a bracket for the subframe from a 6" wide x 1/4" thick luminum C channel and judicious use of jigsaw, if I recall correctly. I used a threaded steel rod coupler, some washers and a longer bolt at the footpegs, and I used a pair of carpenter

wood brackets about 8 or 10 inches long, I'll take that picture at the next opportunity.

Puppy not included.

What's the story with the black ones?

Do you need a seat?

I already have a stock seat. I cut down a rotten one for the crazy 1 seater and rack shown above.
