I found this cleaning out the garage. This came to me from the previous owner who said it needs repacking. 2-1/2" diameter inlet. $150 + shipping.

Good morning,

I did not remove this from anything, I inherited it from the previous owner who only mentioned it has to be repacked.

I think the 90 degree bend and the 2-1/2 inch inlet makes it useable for most of the late Tubers, but hopefully someone can be more difinitive.

2.5" inlet will fit X1s, M2s with the header that goes OVER the frame, S1W white lightnings(not regular S1s), and I believe the S3 but I'm not 100% sure on that one without googling pictures of them.

I've owned a couple of those V&H SS2R'S. Had one on my 2000 X1 and my 2002 S3T. I'm not interested in it just letting you know that you're correct in fitting late model 99-2002 tubers and the 98 S1W with 2.5" inlet and header that goes over the frame. If memory serves me correct the V&H part# was 16531.

Hello Rtlll. What bike are you looking to put this on? The RR1200 on your profile page? FWIW it looks like it is about $25 to ship to zip code 60491. If you're still interested you can send your delivery address and paypal $175 to GerardWing@Comcast.Net

This will fit any 2.5" stock header with a side-facing collector.

The only other 2.5" collector-header was the Buell race part, which has a rear-facing collector.

Header bend shape is immaterial here, the mufflers mount the same way. Collector/outlet size and position is the determining factor. And yes, starting in '98, the S3 also had a factory 2.5" header - any Thunderstorm bike has this collector size.

S2: rear-facing 2" outlet. Unique, only S2.

Pre-thunderstorm: 2" side-facing outlet (96-98, except S1W and 98 S3, which were the first Thunderstorm motors)

Thunderstorm: 2.5" side-facing outlet

Race: 2.5" rear facing outlet. Requires aftermarket, or Buell Race, muffler.

Hello Robin- If you're still interested please send your delivery address to my email at GerardWing@Comcast.Net so I can let you know what shipping will be. Then you can paypal me at GerardWing@Comcast.Net.

If Rtlll sends me his delivery address and payment first, I will sell to him since he expressed first interest.

I can't believe it was ran long enough to need repacking, and that front mount hasn't needed to be rewelded!
