$3650

I am selling my 2008 Buell 1125R 25th Anniversary edition with a clean title. I absolutely love this bike but I am making the switch to a sport tourer so I can have some luggage and the wife can have some comfort as a passenger. If you need any information on the bike do not hesitate to ask.

iam4unc09@yahoo.com

Bike comes with 2 keys, owners manual, new pirelli tires, and new drive belt. 25K Miles.

Would love some advice on price. Or advice/tips to sell.

Yeah selling one of these is a real quandary, I'm by no means an expert as I've spent 18 years in the tuber side of things and only recently added an 1125R to my collection.

What I can offer is.. it's a shame what the "market" value is... these things run so well and are such a performance machine yet hold no "relative market value"?.....it's just amazing...

Mine is a 2009 with all upgrades including a race ECM, ohlins steering dampener, carbon fiber exhaust, EBR EDM drilled rotor, upgraded regulator, clutch cylinder upgraded.... less than 9k miles and I rode out the door for $3K even.... very recently I passed on one about an hour from me for 2900.00..... found one for my buddy for 2700.00 with I think less than 10k miles, almost bought it but decided that I would easily find another in that range and offered him "first rights" and he bought it...

I'm interested in a 2008 just for the frame color difference and 25th anniversary so I can round out my collection but as I ocassionaly search I don't really look at anything priced over 3,200.00 cause I know they can be found for less.... prices are scattered between 2700.00 to 5K but only the ones around 3k are really selling from what I've seen. I also understand that any one of these I buy I'm stuck with cause with yet another Buell venture failure these things cant be supported or really truly serviced by dealerships and I have to learn yet another bike and motor and find eventual unobtanium parts, and the motor wasn't a standard motor, Buell made changes so even the motor is a "one off" so to speak.

It's terribly unfortunate that these outstanding machines have such a low perceived market value!!

What upgrades, fixes, recalls and service bulletins have been done?

Remember, my experiences in pricing are just that, MY experiences, maybe I got lucky twice on two or three really low priced examples, but I do watch them from time to time...

Thanks for the explaination david. I have been contemplating one for a while and think I may buy an 1190 in a couple years instead. Seems like people don't want to let go of them for less than $3500. And I'm concerned with the charging system on the 1125, as I have no idea about working on these bikes.

Jolly, all that makes sense, and it is a shame. I would rather just keep the bike and enjoy it if the value is that low. We will see if I can get the around the asking price. If not then I will just hang on to it.

Hope you got a great price!!!

Like I said, I'm no expert on the 1125R values, just what I've been watching off and on for the last year. Theyre sure worth more than they sell for except for that "support" network out there....
