I've got a collection of ten excellent to pristine* issues of Battle 2win magazine:

- Vol 1, Iss 3 Spring '97
- Vol 1, Iss 4 Summer '97
- Vol 2, Iss 1 Winter '98
- Vol 2, Iss 2 '98
- Vol 2, Iss 3 '98 (*slight dog ear upper right front cover)
- Vol 2, Iss 4 '99
- Vol 3, Iss 1 '99 (*slight shelf wear front and rear covers)
- Vol 3, Iss 2 '99
- Vol 3, Iss 3 '00 (*slight dog ear upper right front cover)
- Vol 3, Iss 4 '00

I'll post a group shot of the collection, and then start posting-up individual pix of the issues later today or tonight.

I'd like to sell these as a set. I'm asking $110, plus $15 shipping, CONUS only.

I've also got a mint collection of FUELL magazines newly listed here in the BadWeB Classifieds, and I'll be posting-up some other various Buell brochures and Buell-related paper items later today or this evening - please watch for the listings. I'm glad to combine shipping.

Thanks for looking.

Ferris

I'll sweeten the deal . . . if someone buys the entire lot for $130 plus the $15 shipping . . . I'll send an original copy of the FIRST issue.

I have not clue with GH is doing with the Road King project . . . but, anything I can do to support it and hasten the reveal is good business.

Court, what can I say? Gads!!! Thank you!

(PS: The '06 Road King (70k+ very enjoyable miles) is long gone, traded for a new '14 Road King when the Rushmore's were intro'd. The economy hit me 'n D hard in '15 (you have NO idea...) and the '14 (and its payments) had to go (plus the more I rode the bike - 15.5k miles in just over 12 months - the more I disliked it; it had a growing laundry list of fundamental problems that my selling dealer couldn't - or wouldn't - fix).

My latest squeeze, and a bike I'm head-over-heels for (10k miles in just over a year; not bad for a w*rking man...), is an '04 Heritage Softail. In all the years I've ridden, and all the Harleys I've owned (bought my first in '84), the Heritage is the first Softail I've ever ridden, and it's a fabulous machine, happy-go-lucky, just perfect for my style of riding.

See my profile pic, and when I get done with the winter projects on her (and when all the snow melts and all the salt on the roads is gone) I'll jump out on the Parkway and post up a fresh pic or two.

Thanks again! : )

-------------------------

Drhach/Daniel: Good score, amigo! Court forwarded me your PM to him. My PayPal addy is:

fastferris ... at ... gmail ... dot ... com (gift preferred)

$145 is the total; please include your screen name, real name and mailing address with your payment.

When the funds arrive I'll get my collection of B2W's to you post-haste (carefully packaged), Court will do the same with issue #1 (I'll e-mail your mailing address to him), and I'm going to include some "outtakes" from Vol 1, Iss 3 (I did the cover photo and feature story) from the photo session with Tim Conder and his "You gotta problem with this?" S1.

Thanks!

Thanks Court! Money sent with requested details. I was going to use that money to buy a cam for my Road King. Oh well. They say life is what happens when you're making other plans.

No, that doesn't make me feel better : ). It was going to be a couple of months until I installed it anyway. Now I can get caught up on my reading.

What's the last paragraph of my piece on Conder all about?

Right at the end of our photo session, as he was getting ready to ride his bike the several blocks back to his shop, I asked him if he'd mind doing a wheelie while I snapped pix. Of course! However, he ran out of room coming up to a busy intersection and in the process of trying to get back on two wheels ended up throwing himself and his bike down on the ground!

The following pic was taken just moments later. Tim's left arm is bleeding fairly profusely, and the left side of his so-freshly-built-you-can-still-smell-the-paint S1 is badly rashed. If it looks like Tim is screaming at the top of his lungs in this pic, it's because he is:

This burnout ended our photo session. I felt terrible for Tim, but he wasn't seriously hurt and seemed to take it all in stride. "Hey, I know a good shop!" he said.

It's been 20 years; I think the statute of limitations on this story has expired.

Got it. Thanks guys!!! You know, when I restored my 72 Sportster, it was agonizing finding any relevant literature. Since then, I've made a point of gathering whatever I can for my bikes. I appreciate that there still are things (and people) around that can tell a more complete story of our bikes.

No . . .really . . . it's not you . . it's me.

I just want to thank Mr. Hach for his extreme patience. I knew, when I extended this offer, that I had a box of the first Batte2Win issues . . somewhere.

But . . . several things . .. the massive move to the undisclosed location and my poor organization . . conspired to make them quite difficult to find among the hundred or so cases of Buell memorabilia.

In addition . . . and FB1 would understand this . . . I don't expect anyone else to . . . I have a strange sense of filing and organization.

Anyway . . . I am pleased to let you know that your pristine brand spanking new copy of the 1st issue of Battle2Win is on the way today.

And . . . all the time . . . there it was, right before my eyes, filed under ASTRONAUT TRAINING ? ? ? ?

Long story.

See the problem?

The better news is that I found collections of things like cases of Buell stickers . . . S2 and S3 bodywork, bags and covers ,. . cases of S3 saddlebag repair his and a collection of prototype front rotors from when the S1 was in development.

You can see why . . . when I ask my children what they wanted in the Will . . the both requested "a pack of matches".

Your Battle2Win is on the way and will be followed, in the coming weeks, by a follow up care package as I continue to dig.

Most of all thanks for your kind patience.

Court

That's funny!

But we hope you provide them with water-logged matches! ; )

Believe it or not, you're inspiring me to get my Buell stuff better organized. It ain't gonna happen overnight, especially because I am in East Troy right now. It's going to take some time, but it will be worth it!

Sorry for the threadjack,

Brankin . . . you should divert on your way back . . we need to get a handful of folks who know what they're looking at and start sorting through this.

I also need to talk to you about a contact I recently had to start consolidating things for archive in a museum.

I'm way beyond where I want or need these hundreds of shirts and cases of stuff and I hate to see them simply be eroded by time.

Could be a great party . . .

Have fun in ET and tell everyone hello . . .

Hahahaha . . .by the way . . . care to buy a shitload of NASA Astronaut training materials . . . memorabilia and goodies?

It was interesting growing up with an Astronaut in the family. I had a proclivity for science and whist all my friends were reading Archie and Veronica I was being fed a weekly diet of NASA technical papers and research.

Sometimes I wonder how guys like you, Erik, Dave and I go so screwed up . . . me? . . I can explain but you? . . . that's another story!

Hahahahaha . . have a fun time.

P.S. - For you . . . I'll even throw in a very interesting rock that you won't find anywhere on Earth. :-)
