I made a ridiculously low offer on an LA bike on eBay early summer and they refused. I moved on and bought a new Suzuki vstrom. Well a few days ago I get an email from them saying they would accept my offer. I explained that I had dumped my savings on a new bike and if I didn't already have 4 bikes I would jump on it. So, guys, if you want a great deal on an EBR check them out on eBay. Dunno I this post ruffles any feathers if so delete it or tell me and I will. | ||

And thx for that I was told I could get a new sx for 7100 plus shipping... So yes I said was fishy how they listed spoken for bikes, but that is a heck of a deal... | ||

^ Get an SX for $7500. Adapt a Uly subframe, seat, and bags, add lower footpegs and taller handlebars. Add windscreen. AX for <$10k. | ||

True. But if you bought a sportbike as an investment, well, lets just say the root problem isn't that the sport bike depreciated quickly. If you buy a $10,000 sportbike, you better have a plan to have $8000 of fun with it within 2 to 5 years. Next thing you know, I'll find out that steak I had last night can't be resold for $20 a pound.  | ||

Well I was going to make a CR my next bike but when I saw that price my first thought was..... F THAT. I figure there isn't many of these leftovers left in the country so might as well take advantage and pray that EBR stays alive. | ||

Oh and I offered $5K on the $6900 SX that LAP has on Ebay and never heard back. I figure someone can grab that for around $6K, it only has 2.2K miles on it. | ||

I offered 5500 on that one, they said it was spoken for and went back and forth with them on a 3 mile bike.. Was offered 7400 shipped and am close on jumping... but that seems the lowest they are going at least right now :-) | ||

It's an amazing motorcycle . . it's probably one of the best quality bikes you can find and it will provide you with tremendous enjoyment. I bought a new car 3 years ago. It turned over 118,000 today and I'm preparing to order another. I suspect the 3 year old car is about worthless . . . but I am absolutely certain that I got my full $40k of value from it. Depreciable assets . . . well . . DEPRECIATE. You may control a teeny bit of it . . . but not much. My car, as an example, has had Amsoil Signature Full Synthetic put in it (and oil analysis done) since day one. You know what that does to resale? Correct . . absolutely nothing. Don't confuse your assets . . . the depreciable ones and the ones you live off the earnings of . . . it's an expensive mistake. Go ride that EBR and enjoy the living hell out of it. | ||

Go ride that EBR and enjoy the living hell out of it Oh I plan on it. Not too worried about support, I do have 2 tubers and a XB so there's not too much factory support there. I would like them to stay alive for the sake of staying alive, get some cool ass accessories and to see that AX. | ||
