Another Triumph Sprint is calling me and I'm trying to do the one in/one out rule.
A few years back I took two bikes and made the one that I wanted - a really strong running 98 S3 motor with recent 10+ pistons, swing arm, exhaust and some other bits and put them into my 96 S2 chassis.
It's not in perfect condition but it's not too shabby, either. The tail section got scuffed up in a move (that's the big thing).
Tons of new stuff: isolators, halogen headlight, all updates done including 2nd gear, Bartel's air cleaner, Mikuni metal choke cable, V&H canister, fairing bags, all sorts of stuff. The only thing it needs is a new shock as it pissed out the fluid. Plenty of life left on the Michelin Pilot Roads. It's been eating speedo drives but I think I've got that fixed.
Daily rider and it's rather speedy. In truth, I built a bit of a monster. This S3 was Heinrich's old bike and it dyno'd at just a hair under 100 RWHP. Approx. 25,000 miles on motor and chassis, maybe 3,000 miles since I installed the 10 over pistons.
This was kind of a labor of love project.
I like the bike but another Triumph is calling me. Bike is in central PA. Buyer to pay shipping.
No offers, please.

I have some good memories of following that bike.

I kept thinking "this guy is a wizzard, I've *never* seen him touch the brake!". Turns out he had put on some nice new levers, and a bit if swarf got into the brake light switch, and after he left home is brake light stopped turning on.

No worries, we had it fixed at a gas station at the base of the hellbender. He was still faster than me, but I at least saw him using the brakes after that. : )

Lovely bike, that. I have some nice art shots of parts of it somewhere around here. That bike was VERY WELL cared for.

Henrich, yeah, he took great care of his stuff. If I'm not mistaken, Court picked the bike out for Henrich and delivered it to him and then I picked out the best bits and stuck it into my S2 because it was such a slug.
Here's some non-artsy shots from a few moments ago (Chase Harper bags not included):

Crap, it broke a header stud.
I've just made a deal to buy a Triumph, first $2000 takes it. I know, monster price drop but it's time to free up garage space for the new arrival.

One of my friends bought the Ulysses (that was a hell of a deal, I screwed it back together and it fired right up, I'm really surprised no one here jumped on it) and he's real close with a nephew who might be buying the Nurple. I should know by tomorrow.
I like this bike so much I might just pull the head, replace all of the exhaust studs and go back to making some more racket with it.
I can always shove the boat out onto the side yard and there's the garage space I need.

I wish I could justify another bike right now. I've always liked the S2. Unfortunately, one tuber is enough for me at the present. Hope it finds a good home.

I forgot to mention I have the S2 Signature package and shop manual, the cylinders were done in gloss black Gun Kote (a heat dissipating coating), Accel oil pressure switch, real Tommaselli Grips, Napoleon bar end, neoprene fork gaiters, XB rocker covers also done in black Gun Kote, the gas cap is the British one not the hunka crap from Taiwan which swell up and I think that's about it.
If some moron bike breaker gets it I'll kill 'em.

Allow me to amend this - sold pending payment. If you're interested, drop me a line.
Has the Signature package stuff, shop manual, Screaming Chicken clutch plates, some other crud I'm forgetting.

Yeah, I know.
I'm pulling the head off this weekend to get that stud repaired, I can't sell my buddy a non-running motorcycle.
If he flakes out it'll stay put.

For clarification: It has the 100rwhp motor from Heinrich's old S3?

Beautiful bike. That is my favorite tuber air cleaner ever.

My friend bought it and I should have the money this week, that's Henrich's old motor and I like that air cleaner, too.
My plan is to wind up with three Triumph triples, three Buells.

That he did. Payment arrived last night so the Nurple goes off to a new home to join his Cyclones and new EBR.
