I have a pair of Yamaha snowmobile mirrors that are the fix for drooping S2 mirrors. They stay where you put them, don't shake quite like stock mirrors when at idle and are close to the stockers in appearance. They are new in the box,I was hoping they would fit my S3T but they won't.I've run these for 15 years on S2/S2T's and have never wanted a different mirror. These sell for $96.99 at my local Yamaha shop,I would like $75 shipped.Pictured is a pair mounted on my '96 S2T.

Not quite exactly like them. The shape is a little different, the rubber boot is a bit different and they are textured
where the originals have a smooth finish. But they have always been a great compromise, and they flat work.

Do these have to be modified at all to fit the S2?

Yes,the mirror has two studs, the stud at the trailing edge has to be cut off then you put the mirror on the faring using the stud at the leading edge to locate it,make a mark through the trailing edge hole and drill a hole through the mirror mount for a 6mm stainless allen of the correct length.I drilled the side of the allen's socket head and used safety wire to lock it to the mirror stem so it won't turn.

THanks Mike.
I don't get here everyday and PMs seem to be iffy at times.
