The ones I've got are all prototypes. Somewhere I recall having some that had "Proto" on them in white paint pen (likely Brankin or Dave U's handwriting) but . .if I could find them I've no clue what they'd fit or if they'd fit. I found prototype fairing bags for an S2 last night but the first ones we played with had no writing on them . . just trying shape and the vendor sent some to comment/review. | ||

Court - if you want to test-fit protos...I have my bike set up with quick-release fasteners. My P-clamps are bolted to the frame, permanently, and I use wingnuts to attach the lowers when I use them. 5 minutes to test-fit.  | ||

The only change I made to the lowers was the top tabs. I changed them from a hole, to a slot. Top front, that use the tank cover screws? Slot pointed up. Top rear, slot that opens to the rear. Top rear P-clamps, I have a screw through the clamp. One nut clamping it to the frame. Open space (for the lower). Then, two nuts against each other, to lock in place. Slide the lower's tab into the space. Rotate it up and forward behind the upper front screw/tank cover. Then pop it onto the lower screw. It makes more sense when you have it in your hands. I promise. | ||

Makes sense, thanks . I'm actually planning on bending the top tabs slightly and making P clamps with longer arms so I can flare the lowers out a little more, for air cleaner clearance and for a little more wind protection. I generally don't pucker up my legs to the tank unless I have to, so I've found the protection leaves room for improvement. But that could also be because of the <30* weather I'm frequently riding in. I'm almost contemplating hand guards and handlebar mittens! | ||

I've been good on mine in the 30s with a Gerbings heated jacket liner and heated gloves. Keep the hands and core warm, the rest does fine (at least, for me). | ||
