S2 forks on an S1. Doesn't immediately sound like a good idea. S2 forks should be longer - and that extra length can't be utilized on an S1 (with a stock handlebar setup) as it was on the S1. I sincerely doubt they were leftover S2 parts that were installed on an S1 at the factory, but stranger things have happened... Any 'leftover' parts would've gone into the warehouse for service/replacement parts orders. There were no suspension 'options' - whatever was spec'ed for each model is what that model received. They utilize that extra length at the top for the clip-ons.   Phelan Posted on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 - 10:37 am:        I know David (Jolly) put S2 ROMAS and top tree on his X1 to use clip ons at the top and clean up the cockpit's aesthetics. The ones on my S1w are 54mm LSL tall clip-ons. They'd be a bit nicer if they were an inch closer to me though.
