I have a 2005 XB12R. 30k miles on the odometer, 8500 miles on swapped engine. Cracked a piston last year, instead of rebuild I swapped in a 2004 motor with 7k miles. Only seen about 1500 miles since swap, I have 3 other bikes including 2 more Buells in the garage. Ever since the engine swap there has been a slight miss or hesitation right at 2,000 rpms. Took my time trying to figure out the issue, but never really had priority. There is oil in the airbox, and intake manifold. Could be as easy as intake seals? The bike runs and drives, just has slight hesitation on and off the throttle. I'm ready to give up and let it go, but not to put on the impression that its in %100 great shape. Open air box mod Billet catch can Spec OPS pipe Race ECM HID headlight Sergeant Cycle seat Double Bubble Windscreen New battery Wired for heated gear Will need tires + a little patience to get back into top form. Not in hurry to unload it, but I know about the "unknowns" of buying a bike that needs a little problem solving. I'm thinking $2300 I'm in Sacramento.
