Barricade Orange XB12 Airbox Cover from my 2007 XB12STT. I swapped it out for a white cover when I bought the bike. This cover has about 5,000 mile on it. No scratches, cracks, or other blemishes. New covers are over $200, I'd like $135 shipped... unless you are local. Feel free to make me a fair offer if I'm out of my mind on the price. One sold here for $150 recently, not sure if it was a more rare color option though. I'd prefer you post here if you are interested so others know you have "dibs". Thanks!

Funny how the market is for these covers. I had a brand new, in the box, red one, I could not sell for $100 + shipping. Finally sold for $100 including shipping. That was about a month ago. |

Good to know, thank you Richard! Incidentally, do you ride your XB's for the ERC? I used to teach the ERC on my M2 (don't teach at all anymore)... the XB seems like a much smoother platform for the double U-turn box and other slow speed drills. I have to counter weight, drag rear brake and feather the clutch to complete the thing. I found that worked better than just dragging the rear brake and running in second. |

>>>>Funny how the market is for these covers. It's that way for most Buell bodywork . . . I tried to get rid of a NIB S2 white fairing, an XB12 white fairing and 4 of the XB translucent blue tank covers and the offers weren't worth the pain of shipping. Into a construction site dumpster. |

Hey Littlebuggles, Actually, I was certified to teach the BRC (Basic Rider Course) in our state run program. This program follows the guidelines established in the MSF training program, as do the training programs run by the major motorcycle manufacturers. In our program we used all state provided motorcycles which were mostly small displacement Hondas. Thankfully those little bikes had bullet proof clutches because first time students have a tendency to give them a strenuous work out! Our program has changed a lot in the last 6-8 years. The training ranges have been downsized and Rider Coach count has been reduced due to smaller class sizes. I think it used to be more fun. A couple of years back I had the opportunity to participate in an abbreviated Motor Officers training course and that was extremely demanding...and a lot of fun too. There we used state provided HD FLHTPI motorcycles which are cool to drag around turns at full lock while finessing the rear brake and clutch. I give a huge amount of credit to those motor officers as they "play" at a very high skill level. I have done ERC (Experienced Rider Course) exercises on my XB (on my own time) to determine those limits. The XB chassis can be quite challenging to move around in the slow, tight, turns with their limited turning radius and short lock to lock. The trick, as you mentioned, is to use that clutch friction zone effectively and rear brake enough to keep the wheels from falling in on you. All it takes is practice, practice, practice! Ride Safe! |

Court, that is a sad, sad story. Bummer. For me, $100 makes a lot of peanut-butter and jelly sandwiches, so I persist in trying to off-load excess parts at moderate to cheap prices, plus it helps other Buellers (at least that's what I tell myself) - though I have tossed a few parts into the recycle bin myself due to general aggravation. Seems like Buellers tend to be cheap. Rich, I especially liked the doing BRC on the Yamaha TW, super easy handling! (The Blast was kind of a pain, but I'd ride that too, just to give the little Buell some saddle time). I would love to take the motor squad course, cool stuff there! |

Littlebuggles, An orange air box cover will add a little color to my all-black '06 XB12X. Does anyone know whether this '07 XB12STT cover will my '06 XB12X? If yes, I'll take it. Offering $100 shipped. |

Sorry Ulyful, this is sold to Icebear who sent funds yesterday. Did you get the tracking number via Paypal Michael? All XB airbox covers will swap out, the intake grill wasn't on the earlier model years so it's nice to add, not sure if it was included on the XB9's for later model years either... anyway, when you scrutinize the images of different covers that's something to look for. Orange and black will make a cool color scheme, I hope you can find another. |

I've got the tracking number, Mike! Thanks And you're right: the combination of the black frame and orange plastics looks pretty cool. I just need the rest of the plastics, like fender, windscreen and chin fairing.. The important thing is to be patient and watch this forum... By the way: OUTSTANDING members here....! |
