Looking for a complete Buell Factory Race pipe suitable for pre'99 tubers. Lots of stuff for trade or reasonable price paid.
Thanks.

Can't you use the later style headers? Or do you just not like the bend?

I could, Ralph. Not even terribly concerned about potential performance advantages of the longer primaries; it's a street bike, after all.

But I like the lines and the look of the factory race pipes. And the build quality and materials. They've stood up better, in my experience, over off-brand performance mufflers. And, remarkably, they tend to be quieter.

I've got stock mufflers in good shape for S1's, S2's and S3's (2 & 2.5") if anyone's interested in trades or just needs one.

Would you happen to have the 90 bend from stock 2.5" header to muffler?

Putting a late T-style header on an early frame requires dimpling of either the frame, or the header. They do not simply interchange.

The 90 degree bend mentioned above is an aftermarket piece, not a Buell part. The correct bend will depend on which muffler it is going to attach to. All factory exhaust systems were two pieces - header, and muffler. Stock exhausts all had the elbow as part of the muffler (except the S2). Race exhausts all had the elbow as part of the header.
