I recently picked up a nice set of Crossroads bars with a black plate. I was led to believe these were for the wider tank, or would fit my X1 in any case, but alas, they will not. If anyone is interested in doing a straight swap; Your wide tank (X1)crossroads plate for my narrower (manta) tank plate, let me know. Thanks! If you purchased these from me might have been off ebay they are for the wide tank. I had the narrow set before that set. They do change your steering radious as they do not allow as much. | ||

Hey Hey! S1Owner, it WAS you whom I bought these from, but it was here on the forum. Please be advised, I am not complaining about you at all, on the contrary, they are exactly what you said they are, they just dont fit the width of the X1. As a seller you were punctual, the packaging was excellent, and the shipping timely. I will post some pics of my issues later tonight from work (I am working grave shift,) so you can see what is happening. These bars are not the same as the X1 set that Al is selling now, and I believe he hasnt adjusted the design at all. Maybe the plate for this set was for the M2? I know that crossroads sold M2 specific bars and those mantas just arent quite as wide as the X1. | ||

No problem and yes the X1 plate is much bigger. Then the M2. At one time I had one set of each and the pegusus version so I was able to compare them. Sorry it did not work for you though. Maybe a machinist could make you a plate? | ||

Here is some pics of the situation. I think it is safe to say that this is for the tuber manta, but not X1. So. My manta plate for your X1 plate?    In that last picture, you can see that there is nearly 3/4 of an inch between the fork and contact pad on the frame. These bars work for me, there is no emergency trying to unload them, but the turning radius is dramatically altered which is really annoying, especially during a slow speed right hand turn where the starter switch presses against the tank and tries blowing up my engine. | ||
